Your Questions About Women's Platforms

Mandy asks…

If most Republicans support a woman's rights to an abortion if she is raped, why does the Official Republican?

Platform say otherwise? Sort of interesting. This would be somewhat like Democrats calling for more Financial Deregulation in their platform when most support the idea of more Regulation of TBTF Banks? It would make no sense.

Our pick of the answers:

Because we're not brainless liberals, always programmed to follow what their puppet masters say.

Sharon asks…

Does the way some women here dismiss Mens rights, or the BAs they select lose them sympathy with you?

It certainly does with me. Most of my posts here are supportive of womens rights, and equality in general, yet when I see a slew of reg feminist posters use Child support, The judicial system and Spousal Abuse as a PLATFORM from which to attack ALL men, or to advance women's rights with no regard to mens rights, I do wonder if all they want to do is commit the same abuses to men that they have been subjected to. Where they could criticise a justice system which fails taxpayers and prisoners alike, they argue that women should be prioritized. Where they should fight for children's education to be a priority for all society, they lambast (usually very poor men) to pay child support. Where they could identify wealth distribution, poverty and social prejudice as oppressors, they target those slightly better off. Have they forgotten that the senators and politicians who passed legislation that gave the vote, recognised domestic violence, emancipated women, - were mostly men? @ etercap - the BA is equally relevant as well in the sense that it validates an opinion even if the question is neutral. @ Jo - yes women did fight and die, but who passed the legislation? People fight and die all the time. The act of martyrdom does not equate to successfully achieving ones goals of itself.

Our pick of the answers:

First of all i have to say this: it was mostly men who emancipated women because htey were the one's that oppressed women in the first place, and women fought hard for the vote. Some even died for it. Men passedthe legislations because women weren't offered the opportunity to be a member of parliament. Obviously. In response to your question. Men should not suffer for feminism, everyone should be equal, whatever gender, sexual preference, skin colour, religion. No group has the right to value their rights over others.
