I'm not in her shoes. I don't know what she is feeling. Their system of justice holds that this is fair and justified, and there is argument for it. I'm not really qualified to judge her. I would argue that the man deserves it, but that she must make sure this is what she wants because she will have to deal with the emotional consequences as well. But after having examined her own motives, if she chooses to continue to press this, I would not consider it wrong. He earned it, after all.

Your shoes should coordinate with the mood of the top, since jeans can be anything from working in the garden to casual saturday to dressed up for the restaurant. If you are wearing a nice blouse and a good jacket, then wear dressy shoes -such as Anna Wintour's suggestion of kitten heel pumps. If you are in a t-shirt and merely out and about running errands, then flats, moccasin inspired shoes, and in summer low heeled sandals are good choices. Boots are good in cold weather, if you are going for a dressy look wear dressy boots, don't spoil a look by wearing good jeans, a nice blouse, dressy coat and then wearing heavy hiking boots. Low heeled leather boots with fake fur trims are big this winter and pair well with jeans for casual looks. Save the sneakers for when you are doing something athletic, I agree that jeans and sneakers can look sloppy sometimes. And if you can still wear higher heels, by all means wear nice mid or heeled pumps with you jeans especially if the rest of your outfit is dressy and classy. As we get into the late 40's and early fifties, our feet can sometimes be problems, but we don't want to sacrifice style for old lady support shoes, at least not quite yet! I know I don't, and I'm approaching fifty far too fast! Many fashionable shoes are made with soft soles and padded inner linings. If your feet are problems, then you are better off buying fewer pairs and better quality. Ballet flats are popular with the younger set, but they aren't the best choice for women our age. I find too flat shoes give me shin splints, those cramps in the legs, while low heels are far more comfortable. Compounding the flat shoe problem is that many fashion flats are cheaply made from plastics which aren't healthy and don't breathe, flats are not a good option. Don't fall into the "i'm fifty so now I have to dress like a frump" trap. At fifty you can dress classy, fashionable, and you probably have more money and more confidence than you did in your twenties. Show it off! And remember, that investing in good quality shoes that fit properly is important, even sneakers can pinch the feet and be uncomfortable if they are made of cheap materials and don't fit correctly. And stay away from crocs, unless you are working in the garden!! Don't listen to anyone who whines that they are so comfortable...they make your feet look like big plastic boats, and really, do you want your feet to look five times bigger than they really are?

At 15, your feet have probably maxed out even though I'm sure you're getting taller. A lot of girls wear your size (a womens 9.5 or 10), and many have bigger feet. I stand 5'10.5" and wear a guys 10.5, and I'm matched by 5'10" girls with womens size 12 feet quite often. Those girls' feet would dwarf yours. Seeing that red nail polish almost an inch beyond the end of your toes end would be quite a sexy sight - with me they can only match. You'll greatly outclass the average girl on height once you're through. You may end up near my height. But you'll still have to ask lots of girls to take off their heels, otherwise they'll be taller than you. The good news is, some women don't mind being taller than the guy.

why is it okay to wear flats and heels without socks?
Every summer, all the girls/ladies are wearing flats and heels without socks. Putting aside aesthetics, I was wondering why is it suitable for them to wear flats and heels without socks just like they are wearing sandals? Aren't they closed toe shoes just like sneakers, converses, and boots? How is that different from wearing sneakers and boots without socks then? Wouldn't their feet get all sweaty, sticky, and smelly if they wear flats and heels without socks? If that is the case, how can it be comfortable for everyone to continue wearing them like that? I just don't understand.

You are absolutely right, it does get sweaty. I actually consider it to be one of the most uncomfortable aspects of wearing heels (and flats). But in my case, it's much more tolerable because I always wear pantyhose with closed-toe heels. This helps to prevent it from getting sticky. Socks with heels just looks tacky.

I bought 2 pair of shoes, $700 worth @ Zappos, where they have free shipping & free returns. I am a 5 1/2, so I bought a size 6. Returned them. Ordered a 5, too small. I saved $700. I went to Nordstrom's, they're having shoe sales. Found 2 shoes, both less than $300. Both were rated as 'best comfortable shoes for walking'. BTW: I wore one of the boots for 4 hours, and I didn't even do that much walking, mostly standing on the same spot . . . . And I was already limping. I took it back the following day! My son bought a pair of Nike beach sandals. They didn't come in his size, so he bought the one larger. They weren't sold in stores! He was walking around sandals too big, only because he didn't want to pay for return shipping and re-stocking fees. Shoes that are good for some, may hurt your feet. Just saying!

Is there a value to past seasons stock when buying a retail fashion business?

The present owner has autumn/winter shoes which she says is left over from autumn/winter 06/07 but how would I know it is not years older - about £4k worth - and spring/summer stock which she says is this spring/summer (07) - about 5k worth - In total about £9k worth. What color eyeshadow and lipstick should I wear if I am wearing black and red or black and pink?
I want to wear black skinny jeans and black high heels and possibly a pink or red top. I have brown hair and am fair/medium toned. I don't like wearing red lipstick. I want to wear a pink lipstick if possible but what color eye makeup? I wouldn't might doing a smokey eye but then how do I tie that into the lipstick wear a nude? I also don't think earth tones would go good with this combination of colors. Suggestions

What did I do to my heel and how do I fix it?
I'm an idiot and decided riding a horse bareback w/o shoes would be a fantastic idea. Naturally, I got launched off my 18 hand baby (about 6.6 feet I think??) and went into the gravel. I ended up landing on my right heel and the force and collapsing into a roll. It's only been about half an hour but my foot is swelling and super tomato red on the bottom towards the arch/heel's inside, and there's a bit of bruising on the side of my foot. If I stand on that heel it's near impossible to keep myself up because of the bruising sensation/pain. It's not so bad when i don't stand or walk on it, but the swelling concerns me some, and if I roll my foot it hurts, specifically up or inward. Any ideas on what it might be and how to fix it? I'm not overly worried but I don't want to mess it up further. Advice on what to do would be appreciated.

Do some home remedies like icing. Elevating and compress it. Take ibuprofen for pain relief. Give rest to your foot and do not put much stress on foot. Use crutches or braces. If its a severe injury you should go get x-rays and help form a podiatrist.

(LADIES) Going to Atlantic City for vacation and don't know what to wear/pack?! Whats the usual dress code?
I am going to AC for 5 days next week and I am not sure what to wear because I have never been there before. I have been gambling in Vegas and have to been to plenty of beaches, but everyone tells me that Atlantic City is different and the dress code varies. I don't want to be too over dressed or under dressed, so any suggestions on what to wear for the boardwalk, gambling, bars and dining out? Any other tips on what to bring? Thanks!

I've never been there but I have been to Vegas. AC is more dressy and fashionable from what I've been told by others. I'd bring some yoga pants, tanks & flip flops for casual wear as well as some bootcut jeans. Also bring a more mainstream day-to-day outfit like nice pants or jeans and a few tops like blouses and tunics and flats. Consider a maxi skirt or maxi dress for casual wear and cute flat sandals. You can dress casual for gambling but I like to dress up personally. I wear like a blouse and cropped blazer along with some flare leg jeans and stiletto heels. Also works for clubs. Then you should also bring a short tight dress and some killer platform heels for fun nights out. I always take my palazzo pants on trips because they dress up or down depending on top and shoes. I can wear them during the day shopping with some flip flops and a tank and then change into a tight top and stilettos for the eveing. Have fun! :-)

You don't have to play squash, but you can emulate the movements with a drill on a basketball court. Shoes designed for running, on the other hand, generally aren't good shoes for fencing as they aren't designed for lateral movement.
