I always wonder that every season. I look in magazines and everything but the trends are a little out there sometimes and each mag has a different trend. From what you've read and heard what do you think the trends are. Where are some affordable places to find those trends?

Thoughts about the woman pulled off the South West Airlines Flight?
I'm curious to hear opinions of the young lady who was pulled off the SouthWest Airlines flight because her outfit was too revealing. The pictures of her, wearing her skirt and top were I thought not out of the norm, she was tall, blonde and a bit busty but nothing at all revearling about her top and her skirt was low to mid thigh. They actually showed some of the older SW Airline flight attendents from the 70's wearing hot pants on CNN today. Curious to hear opinions, because this woman was dressed nicely and I have seen some pretty poorly dressed people not get a second look. Think that jealously had anything to do with it? I only saw the picture of her that was shown on the media. She looks fine in it and didn't have a tank top on, she had a top and sweater. My understanding was that it was a female passenger who complained after the boarded the plane and that she was given a blanket to cover herself after getting back on.

I offer 2 opinions on the topic of personal appearance in public places - 1. Airlines (Buses, Cruise ships, Railroads, etc) have the right to demand certain standards of conduct (or appearance)of passengers, and sometimes enforce that right when passengers or the airline would be harmed. In this case, however, I have heard that another passenger complained to the airline, and caused this situation to arise. I have no idea what gives one passenger the right to judge the lady's clothing, this seems to be hypocritical and surely could have been resolved by moving the complaining passenger to a seat out of view of the young lady, and offering a blindfold to the complaining passenger. Since the airline crew now had to intervene quickly, in order to let the flight take off on time, and keep the peace, perhaps it was easiest at the moment to do what SW did, right or wrong. On the other hand (with my perfect hindsight), if I were the air crew, I would have told BOTH passengers to get off and let them battle it out in court for being involved in a dispute of a nature unable to be resolved in a timely manner. Opinion #2: On personal pride of appearance AND tolerance (or lack of tolerance), what ever happened to these things? It used to be that far fewer people (slobs, etc) went out in public place dressed badly. I am not talking about dressing in a unique, trendy way, but plain out wearing ragged, dirty smelly clothing, etc. I once sat (in first class cabin, Dallas to London) way too close to a young couple and baby, dressed in worn-out jeans, tattered plain white-T shirts, cheap shower shoes, etc and the toddler wearing only a diaper and some kind of sleeping clothes, barely enough to keep it from catching cold. Granted that your clothing choices can be limited by your income and budget, but if you have the means to fly in first-class cabin to London, surely you could afford to dress better than that? On tolerance, YES, I thought to myself that if I had the power, I would tell that couple to dress more appropriately for the occasion, but of course I realized that I do NOT have that power, so I just kept my mouth shut, put on my headset, listened to the music, and enjoyed the flight. Ok, open for debate, I would like to read your comments, anyone?

This opening marks the brand's first restaurant in the state of Louisiana, spearheaded by United States Veterans Chuck and Denise Kerr.

Most of Chuck Kerr's career has been concentrated in operations, most notably with Subway restaurants as an owner-operator, and most recently, as operations manager at an IT employment firm. After making the decision to move to Louisiana to be closer to family, the husband-and-wife team approached MOOYAH to inquire about investment opportunities to develop the fast-casual hotspot in uncharted territory.
Additionally, the duo is no stranger to service; Chuck was enrolled in the Army and served in Desert Storm while Denise served as a base commander in the Air Force. Their MOOYAH restaurant is aptly opening on Veterans Day, and the two are very excited to be working "the front lines" at their new MOOYAH.

I'm 14...and im 5'11". I'm a girl and i wear size 12 in womens size and 10 in mens. Im also in a lot of sports and its VERY hard to find shoes. Any suggestions?!

I wear a size 8 or even sometimes 9 in women's shoes (which is 5 1/2 or 6 1/2 in uk sizes). My friends always say I have tiny feet but I don't see how they are tiny at all. I think it's just because people in my area tend to have big feet for some reason. I would call size 6 1/2 or less tiny. So it got me wondering what size other people would say is really small.

It's not my best, a little creative writing piece Every now and then, the question comes up. It's unavoidable. Normal people just throw it around, in the most casual conversations. What do you think of this weather? I love this snow. Are those new shoes? Yeah, I just got them, thanks for noticing. How's your family? And that's when the lies begin. I've told them so many times I almost believe them. They're doing great, I say. Your mother? They ask. Fine, she really enjoys her classes this semester. Your father? Amazing. His firm just won a major case. Last they ask: how's your brother? I tell them I don't have a brother. Maybe you're thinking of someone else? Yeah that's probably it. The truth is my mother sold her art studio seven years ago. I don't think she's left the house in five. My father lost his job at the firm when it became impossible to hide the whiskey on his breath. And I do have a brother. His name is Chris. The last time I saw him he was on CNN, being lead out of a courtroom in shackles. This very public little stunt of his made it impossible for me to get a job. Our last name, Prezlocki, isn't exactly Smith. At every interview the human resources lady would ask "Prezlocki? Like Christopher Prezlocki?" and that was my cue to pack up my brief case, shake her hand, and head for the hills. After seven or eight interviews ending like that, I changed my name to Gavin Kelly and moved to Seattle. I got job with a computer company and I hadn't thought about my life back in Green Hills for years. But last Monday I was flipping through the channels and I saw E! Special on the 15 most shocking acts of violence. Faces of famous murders flashed across the screen. As much as I had tried to forget him, as soon as I saw his face it all came rushing back. I grabbed the clicker and froze the image. I heard my wife complaining, griping at me to give her the clicker back, but I ignored her. The memories I had pushed back for so long slammed into my head. I handed her the clicker, told her I had a migraine, and stumbled back to our room. I dug around in the closet until I found a brown shoe box. The box itself was insignificant, the cardboard was peeling and the red Nike symbol had faded to a strange orange. I pulled back the lid and stared into the box and an old newspaper clipping stared back at me. "Green Hill Killer Caught- Three Women Still Missing." I pushed it aside and started digging. Those weren't the memories I was looking for. I found it at the very bottom, where I knew it would be. It was a stack of old picture of me and Chris. The date scribbled on the first one I picked up said I was four and he was ten. I smiled a little. I remember that day perfectly. It was late November and Chris and I had gone exploring in the woods, it was just us two kids and a lunch pail, like something from a Rockwell piece. I twisted my ankle on a tree root and he carried me home. I wouldn't stop crying so he started telling me stories about faeries and trolls. When we got home I told my mom Chris had bravely rescued me from a bear. That's when she took a picture of her two cutie pies, and gave us hot coco. The next one was of us playing in his room. He looked like he was about sixteen, so I must have been ten. I think he took the picture using the camera timer because mom didn't think he was so cute any more and stopped taking pictures when he was doing "abnormal" things. We were wearing tin hats and I was trying to fight off the aliens Chris said were invading. Looking back that should have been a warning sign. It wasn't a game to him, and the transponder he was building wasn't pretend. There was one of him picking my up from school. He was chatting with my teacher Mr. Kohl about something and I was looking very bored. I smirked to myself and thought about school. Green Hill is epitome of a small town and every teacher I ever had taught six years earlier. That was back when "are you Christopher Prezlocki's little brother?" had been a good thing. I was always jealous of Chris when it came to school. He's smart and I'm not. Guess that's why he got away with it for so long. The final picture was the last family picture we ever took. It was the night before he left for MIT. I remember feeling sad, but I think my parents were relived. He wasn't their problem any more. It was hard to say goodbye to my big brother, but shortly after he left I found girls, and friend, and football. Hanging out with other people made me realize how off Chris was and I almost completely stopped talking to him. I think that's why I blame myself. Maybe if I had been a better brother he wouldn't have done those things, all those women would still be alive. I heard my wife walking down the hall and I quickly shoved the box back into the closet. She doesn't know about my past, and if I can help it she never will. Chris is sentenced to die next year. Maybe I should get in touch with him sometime. But what good would it do? Beside

Where can I find cute shoes with small heels?
I've seen black Mary Janes, and I LOVE them. I think the straps, especially the double-straps, look really cute, but I can't find any Mary Janes with heels less than 3". I'm not that good at walking in heels yet, and I'm a teenager so I don't really want super-expensive shoes. I'm trying to find Mary Janes with heels less than 3", but barely ANY shoes are less than 3"! It's like designers are trying to make the less-coordinated kill themselves in heels! Actually I would like to find ANY cute shoes that are about 2-2.5". I've just started to get good at walking in smaller heels, but I had to practice in ugly shoes because I couldn't find any cute heels. I'm ready to wear heels in public, but this isn't going to work out unless I actually find some shoes. Thanks so much! I am dying to show off some cute heels (though I bet I will wish I hadn't bought the heels once I wear them for a day =] I can't help it... I'm addicted to cute shoes).

Dear Katie, No! Heel-less, this is tantamount to swearing. As I have already mentioned in one of your other questions...the classic court shoes in black leather with the thin heel are far more glamorous. If you are really keen to change from your high heels, a pair of Oxfords or Brogues would be preferable to the 3 options you offer, IMO.

For gel nails you need uv gel, nail brush, rubbing alcohol (get from the drug store), and a uv lamp. You can also pick up nail tips if you want to add them to your own nails. You can sometimes get it in a kit with everything included. Check seller's feedback, make sure of shipping times. The cheaper ones often ship with economy shipping that takes forever. Who thinks "stiletto nails" look awful?
I notice that women are getting their artificial nails done with really pointy tips....apparently they're called "stiletto nails." I think they look ridiculous....claw like! I want to get my nails done, but what other styles are popular right now? Are the square tips still in? Haven't had my nails done in about 10 years (since I had two kids! haha).
