To all the girls out there who have been to prom/ going to prom this year, I have some prom shoe questions! :D 1. What are some good (UK) highstreet shops that sell nice prom shoes (or shoes that can be used for prom - prefferably on the cheaper side). 2. What do/ did your prom shoes look like? 3. What heel height do you think is acceptable? (Year 11 prom). 4. (If you have been to prom already), did alot of girls choose to wear the commonly more traditional sparkly strappy sandal prom shoes? Okay I don't live in the UK nor have I gone to prom but I love trying to help Beauty/Style questions. It would help is you could take a picture of the dress so we know what style shoes to look for. 1) I would try Aldo, Forever 21, and New Look. 2) I haven't gone to Prom, but people over here in the US usually wear flats, stilettos, or wedges, in all different colors. 3) I think up to a four inch heel is acceptable. 4) There are many girls who wear peep toe heels so you should be okay. 5) No they are not less elegant or classy. 6) Any color shoes would go! I personally would do a red heel to make the look really pop, but I don't know your style. Since your shoes are going to be the show, maybe you should go for edgier shoes, shoes that other girls will look at and think wow she's daring, but in a good way! There is a spray paint/ and liquid at Home Depot that covers plastic and stands up to weather etc. I forget the name, but it does state what it does so look around in the paint aisle or ask a employee. I repainted my daughters play house with it and it is very shiny, weather and kid resistant. I can see that working on a heel.

Do we REALLY need basketball shoes to play in indoor court?

There's a new indoor basketball court built at the new indoor sports complex. the problem is, the management strictly asks for non-marking shoes only if we want to play there. They used to allow badminton/volley non-marking shoes but now they changed the rules saying ONLY basketball shoes are allowed. The stupid excuse they give is that, the basketball floors have extra coating compared to the badminton court so in order to 'preserve' the quality, we need to wear basketball shoes. could someone explain to me if there's any rational behind that given reason or they just wanna restrict the players that come to play there? Basketball shoes are expensive and most of us are still students.

Best tennis shoes for flat feet?

i am looking for a pair of good-quality running shoes that will give me good support and last me a long time. i am currently playing lacrosse and would use them to run outside and in during the season as well as various other occasions. i wear a woman's size ten and have flat feet. after a two hour lacrosse practice with my current shoes on, i experience pain and discomfort in my heels especially. can anyone help me with a good, worthwhile shoe? i would like to keep them fairly inexpensive though i realize that i might have to splurge a little to get a quality shoe. How can I make walking in 5 1/2 stiletto heels easier?

I have a pair of 5 1/2 inch knee high stiletto boots that I've only worn during photo shoots. The reason I bought such massive boots in the first place is to wear them during concerts. I'm not excessively short, but I typically have a hard time seeing the band play because of my height. I also have unusally small feet, so it's difficult to find shoes in my size. I'm 5"4 and I have a shoe size of only 5 in womens. My boots are size 7, but they're actually a pretty good fit. I wear three pairs of thick socks and I tighten them as much as they can go. It makes the boots more comfortable and easier to walk in, but they're still very difficult to get around in. I'm going to a concert here in about a week and the venue I'm going to has a lot of bumpy gravel and some pretty steep areas. The heels are pretty wobbly and I think that's the biggest issue. Any suggestions to make it easier for me to walk in these boots would be greatly appriciated and might save me some embarrassment and possibly a trip to the hospital. I could permanently attach myself to my friends' arm, but I don't want to be a nuisance. Here are some pictures of me wearing the boots so you can get an idea of how extreme they are. Vacuum, do laundry, take out the garbage, etc. In them. The idea is to make wearing them feel natural. Well, as natural as possible considering that they're heels.

Can someone help me with finding sexy heels or wedges in size 13?

Im irritatingly tired of not finding any cute or sexy shoes in size 13. Im 6ft tall, curvy, and just turn 21 and want to go clubbing, and i don't like wearing 2 inch heels that look like work shoes. Ive googled size 13 heels and all the sites that pull up have 13s (no affense to older woman) but their all old lady shoes only for my size it is ridiculous, i have no choice when it comes to the size of my feet. I want some 4 inch or 5 inch heels or wedges like every other girl that likes to go out looking great but it seems no one understands that not everyone have small feet! Ive also been to the payless site and they have 13 but once again they are work looking dress shoes, but also if they have maybe 1 pair they always say not in stock online and its bull! They will put brand new shoes on the site and it will instantly say its not in stock online. Salsa dance shoes with good arch support?

Anyone know of any good salsa, cha cha, merengue, etc. dance shoes with decent arch support? I've seen a lot of cheap shoes for sale online, but I don't know how much I trust them. I used to buy Capezio for tap and hiphop. (I'm currently dancing in Nine West shoes with way too skinny heels!) Anyone have any suggestions? What do you use?? Or know of?

Capizio's rock, nbut are definitely not suitable for salsa or any of the latin dances. Salsa, cha cha or any of these dances all need a heel in order for you to get the right support on toes, arch and heel. If you go to a local dance boutique (there's one in every major city, and even in smaller ones), you can ask them for 2 and 1/2 inch, roman heels, with spider and T-straps. These will give you allround support and ease of movement. Whats great about buying latin shoes (which can be quite expensive at times) is that they can customize it at times, therfor gives you a higher arch support if need be. These shoes also have pigs leather on the soles, which makes slipping almost impossible - no falling for you! Enjoy!

I can never find size 5 shoes! Would I be able to fit in kids shoes, and if so, what size would I be? My feet are a little under 8.5 inches long, if that helps.

I wear a woman's 71/2 and have found that I can also wear a girls size 5. Just last week I tried on a pair of 41/2 Keds because they were cute, and it turned out they fit fine. The biggest difference is that they're usually cut a little bit more narrow, so if you have a wider foot, it has to be a consideration. For yourself, you should try between a 3 and 3/12. It's great that this works because it gives us more options.
