Your Questions About Womens Fashion Shoes

Carol asks…

Where can i buy stylish and classy vegan shoes online?AND WHERE CAN I BUY VEGAN CLOTHES 4 WINTER TO KEEP WARM?

No leather used in shoes and no woolenfrom sheep stuff for warm clothes.I know its not food and drink related. But I found no other category for vegan fashion.I recently turned vegan but I find it hard to find vegan stuff for winters?and winter is quite harsh out here. but Ugg boots are made from sheepskin.

Our pick of the answers:

Hey, I know how you feel in the fashion category. I'm from Michigan so I know cold, lol. I'm also rather picky about what I wear. This website --- www.alternativeoutfitters.com --- has some decent selections. For me, I have to look through a couple of pages before I find things that fit my tastes, but at least I can find some things. BOOTS http://www.alternativeoutfitters.com/clothing/vegan/womens-boots.aspx (Microsuede is vegan - I looked it up) These shoes LOOK animal made, which could be a problem for those who know you're vegan, but don't know and don't ask, if your shoes are vegan. So if you got, say, the vegan "Ugg" boots you'd either have to tell friends (in excitment) that you found these awesome Ugg knock-offs that are vegan or would get something that didn't look like it was made at all from leather, wool, etc. The same thing applies with any item that LOOKS non-vegan but actually is vegan. COATS http://www.alternativeoutfitters.com/apparel/faux-leather-jackets-vegan-coats.aspx If you've got a pretty penny to spend: http://www.inhabitat.com/2006/11/26/stella-mccartney-vegetarian-fashion/ Otherwise, just shop at normal stores and avoid fur (including faux fur trimming which is sometimes made from dogs or raccoons) and just check all the labels for wool, silk, etc. I don't know what kind of phone you have, but I like to have my iPhone handy to look up any ingredient or material that I'm not sure of. Happy shopping! :)

Http://www.amazon.com/NIKE-Jordan-School-White-Shoe/dp/B003H79M2K/?tag=bdd-linking-003-20 Nike WHITE/GREY JORDAN OL'SCHOOL II LOW Athletic Nikethe first name in athletic footwear. Your Questions About Court Shoes For Men

Mary asks…

Nike Men's Air Zoom Huarache Elite TB (White/White/Black/Chrome)?

I just recently bought this shoes and I am having trouble with them. Any suggestions of any of the following problems would be greatly appreciated. 1) I have having toruble getting traction with these shoes. What can I do to help that? 2) I am having trouble making the shoes squeak on the basketball courts at the gym. What can I do to fix this? 3) How do you lace these basketball shoes? 4) What about the inner loops at the top of the shoe (the ones that are inside of the shoe) ? Do those get laced also or not? 5) How do you tie these basketball shoes? 6) The fact that I am having so much trouble with these makes me want to return them. Should I return them - why or why not? Thanks in advance for all of the information , including pictures, that everyone can give me!

Our pick of the answers:

1. If they're brand new, there shouldn't be a problem with traction. Try wiping the bottom with your hand or a towel. Get the dust off. 2. There is no way you can't. Simply shuffle your feet and there should be squeaks. Not like this is important. 3. Lace them all the way up til the holes end. Then you tie it. 4. That is for the strap 5. Jsut like how you tie a regular shoe. 6. Not if you're playing ball. If you don't know this much about a shoe, yeah you should return them and get slippers.

Maria asks…

Is the Jena 6 debate a case of reverse discrimination & domestic "racial" terrorism?

I am disqusted that these young men are getting charges dropped, convictions overturned and the uninformed ignorant racial biased support of Sharpton & Jackson Flunkies! The truth be told, there are usually circumstances, distrust & plain ole' dislike that precipitate this type of violence whether racial or or otherwise, but! should an apeals court overturn a valid conviction based on racial protesting....That's just plain crazy..... It's funny that they use the excuse of the boy being charged as an adult at 17 ( afterall, most violent crimes are charged at the adult level at that age). These Young fellows, some of whom have numerous Juvenile convictions of previous assalts alledged; Are getting a pat on the back by many for Knocking a victim unconsious and proceeding to kick that "unconsious" victim on and about the head "with shoes on".... Gang violence of this nature is awful. Oh, and for those that a shoe is not a weapon......Check your case law.

Our pick of the answers:

If they beat someone up they should get convicted and race should not be looked at one way or the other. They assaulted someone and should be charged with it and sent to jail or juvie. By the way, lots of kids younger than 17 are charged as adults. Kids get locked up and charged for MUCH less than what these boys did. Knocking someone unconscious can get you are very serious sentence. Kids get sent to jail for throwing even one punch. I think it most definitely is reverse discrimination and it sickens me that people are standing up for them when they really did commit a crime that they deserve to get punished for. By the way, I would say they were guilty too if they were white kids beating up a black kid, what they did was just wrong. I work in a locked residential treatment center with juveniles.

Your Questions About Heels Over Head

Laura asks…

what r some ways to get a guy to fall head over heels for u?

This guy<3 who I am really into seems to sorta like me but I want him to fall head over heels for me. How can I do this????

Our pick of the answers:

Give it time. I was the same way with a guy a few years ago and now he still cant get enough of me and im having his baby. Be real with him, and dont be the typical girl that laughs at all of his jokes, dont act too impressed, but give him a little feel good feeling too, laugh at things you actually think are funny, kind of play hard to get, yet let him know in a subtle way, that your his if he wants you. Keep him interested, meaning dont tell him everything about you in one conversation. Good Luck :)

Ruth asks…

Why do people use the expression,"head over heels" and what exactly does it mean?

I just want to know what it means cause I hear it all the time and I mean you are all ways head over you heels. If anyone knows just tell me..Thanks! <3

Our pick of the answers:

People generally use the expression "head over heels" when expressing how much they or someone else feels for someone. For example, "she is head over heels in love with him" which generally means she is overwhelming and completely in love with him to the point where she becomes blind to any of his flaws.

Your Questions About Jessica Simpson Shoes

Jenny asks…

Has anyone bought SKR hair extensions? How long did it take till you go them?

I just bought my first hair extensions last Sunday (the 30th of October). I heard Skr hair was a really fine quality product. I want to know is it really as good as they say and how long did it take before you received them? I know the site says 10 buisness days but i also heard that some people got them a day early? Did you get yours a day early and if you dyed it was it still soft and thick and look somewhat normal?

Our pick of the answers:

Getting extensions are not that easy, like buying shoes. AND if you have problem styling your own hair, add hair extensions to the formula, it will be even harder to style when you have them. People waste tons of money on extensions because it's the new trend. Without doing much research. Then, they come to YA HAIR and ask us questions on how to clip it on their hair, if they can go swimming, play sports, if they can dye or perm, etc. Do you think you'll have time for school, trying to put on hair extensions over 1 hour every morning? Then, they ruin it by dyeing to match their hair. If you live in NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Texas or San Diego and you wear hair extensions made by Remy, it COULD have been from a stolen beauty store and are sold for much more! It's also possible they're being sold ONLINE. It's really not that simple! Then again, it will not work out if you have thin hair, the clip will be showing through! How embarrassing will that be, if it keeps falling out from your head, if it's not on right!?! May 22, 2011: Model and businesswoman Katie Price, who was formerly topless model Jordan, is demanding compensation from a top Los Angeles hair salon after she spent $17,000 on hair colourings and extensions that she claims were botched, leaving her hair so damaged it began falling out. Kate Gosselin got hers from a salon, and she was on the front cover of People magazine, but she HATED her hair!!!! Access Hollywood. She paid $7,000 for hers. Took 7 hours. At the salon: 25-50 ($50-$100) extensions, they also have hidden costs, like monthly maintenance fees, one girl charge YA poster $248 more saying the salon put 120 extensions on her head, but she only counted 60. They are very charming! Google Britney Spear's hair extensions. July 21, 2010. Jessica Simpson & Paris Hilton don't even use their own hair extensions, plus they have stylists to do them in photo shoots or travel with them. Jessica was photographed, showing her clip-ons during a windy day. EXAMPLES OF WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT their HAIR EXTENSIONS well on friday i got synthetic extensions, and they dont curl very well, so i was wondering if i plaited them and left them over night would they go crinkly and mix in with my real hair because theyre fake i dont know if i can actually style them very well, which is annoying! +they are starting too get ratty, any tips on how to take care of them ? Thanks! And another ex: I have sewn in hair extensions. My natural hair is neck-length, and these extensions are down to my chest. They're sewn in (if you didn't already know) with black tracks, while the hair is my natural hair colour: brown. But I want to have it up in a high-ish ponytail. But, obviously, the tracks are really obvious. How can I make them less obvious? I hate having to have my hair down all the time. I've always wanted it, but now I'm getting bored. :/ One more ex: I removed my hair extensions yesterday after 4 months. My hair is really thin does any1 no any good products to thicken it? And another ex: i bought 100 dollars clip in 100% human hair extensions and it hurts and pulls my hair. U shud just wait til it grows out. My hair was real short and i wanted extensions real bad and now i feel bad wasting 100 bucks on that where i cud of spent it on clothes or sumother beauty thing. Ur not going to wear them after a while cuz u get annoyed having to keep clipping them in and all or whateever kind of extensions ur getting. Another extensions, hers cost $600: I got the pure extensions on Thursday their the ones the get put in your using a little barrel and clamping it shut . My coworker put them in as kind of practice since were both new to it but now they are hurting me really bad I have thick hair so she put a lot of rows in and the back of my head is so sore ! I want to take them out but don't want to because I spent 600 dollars on them . Is this normal or did she maybe put them in rong ? This one says it all: i have had hair extensions done in a hairdressers in melton mowbray 3weeks ago. I have been told they are 100% real hair but they look terrible,it looks like i have been back-combing it. If i curl them it just goes frizzy and if i straighten them it also goes very frizzy with the back-coming look. I have bought all the products that was advised and i have looked after them the way i was told to. I have had hair extensions before and they were lovely, i had no problems. I have been back 2 times to the hairdressers for help and advise and i was told that the hair is rubbing on my shoulders which is giving the back-combing look (my shoulders are not that big). I am now asking for my money back and the hair taken out but they are refusing. I have spoke to the hairdressing federation and they told me to call trading standards, they said to get them tested but i do not know where to send them. Thanks for any help.

Ruth asks…

Can you really find good stuff at TJ Maxx?

By good stuff, I mean deals on designer clothes. I've never tried out discount stores before really, except for Platos Closet, and I'm curious if it's worth the trip.

Our pick of the answers:

I love tj maxx! They have great deals on lots of designer purses and shoes (guess, jessica simpson, steve madden, coach etc) purses change so often but i've seen gucci, guess, ecko, dooney&bourke, kathy van zeeland, betsey johnson etc they have the best deals on swimwear (roxy, billabong, hurley, nike) clothes are usually ralph lauren, the north face, american eagle, ann taylor loft and they have lots of lacoste and ralph lauren home stuff

'Voice of The LA Dodgers' Vin Scully and TV Anchor Ed Arnold Receive Lifetime Achievement Awards from Radio TV News Association (RTNA) of Southern California

'Voice of The LA Dodgers' Vin Scully and TV Anchor Ed Arnold Receive Lifetime Achievement Awards from Radio TV News Association (RTNA) of Southern California

West Hills, CA (PRWEB) February 9, 2007

"It's been another fulfilling year for Radio Television News Association," RTNA President Steve Kindred, KFWB News 980 told several hundred mostly Radio and TV broadcast journalists at the 57th Annual golden Mike Awards ceremony at the Universal Hilton Hotel, Universal City, CA (Jan. 27, 2007). KFWB took home top honors, and a Golden Mike award for "Best Newscast for over 15 min." category.

Kindred noted that the RTNA is pursuing First Amendment challenges on two fronts.

"One, we're examining the possibility of changing the L.A. municipal ordinance, enacted in 1970's, which limits press passes to reporters who frequently pass through police and fire lines. Current law mandates taking another look at who gets a press pass, and by strictly adhering to this language, many if not most, of our members would no longer be eligible. Second, we have com up with a definition suitable to the RTNA Board of Directors of what constitutes a working broadcast journalist."

Kindred noted that the RTNA legal Counsel Royal Oakes is working tirelessly to get cameras back into local courtrooms, where judges are still reluctant to allow them in the wake of the exposure that resulted from unfettered live coverage of the OJ Simpson Trial.

Kindred was among the staff, which received "Best Newscast Over 15 min," at KFWB.

In addition to honoring Southern California's top TV and Radio stations journalism stories and newscasts, RTNA handed out "Lifetime Achievement Awards to Ed Arnold and New York Native Vin Scully, voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers for 57 years.

RTNA honors Vin Scully, Voice of LA Dodgers from 1950 Today

The only person who's been on the air longer than Vin Scully is Stan Chambers, KTLA, who was present at the 57th Golden Mike Awards and who is a past recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award Honorees. Stan Chambers was also the first broadcaster to show up to the event with his wife, and commented "Yes George, I'm proud to say I'm still on the air."

Vincent Edward Scully (right) was born in the Bronx, New York, On November 29, 1927. Growing up in the depression, "Vin" worked odd jobs to help support the family. All the while he dreamed of becoming a sportscaster, even though he'd never been to a major sporting event.

Scully took his first steps toward that dream at Fordham University, where he helped put its FM station on the air. Just before he graduate he sent out more than 150 letters to radio stations looking for a job. the only response came from CBS radio affiliate WTOP, in Washington, DC. Scully was hired as a fill-in announcer.

The sports director of the CBS Radio network, Red Barber, heard Scully, and recruited him to announce some college football games. Barger mentored Scully, giving him tips that would become Sully hallmarks, like keeping your opinion to yourself, and not rooting for the team that employs you. In 1950, Scully joined Barber and Connie Desmond as part of the Brooklyn dodgers' radio and Television team.

In 1953, the 25-year-old became the youngest announcer ever to call a World Series. After some personnel changes Scully became entrenched as the sole "Voice of the Dodgers." In 1957 Scully moved to Los Angeles with the rest of the Dodgers.

Over the years Dodger fans have lived every hit, run and error with Scully. His knowledge of the game, players and baseball history is peppered through every broadcast. He seamlessly weaves stories about players and the game into an inning's worth of play-by-play. The third out is not so much the end of an inning, but the end of a chapter in a book you can't put down.

When CBS Radio had the World Series from 1979-1982, and 1990 to 1997, Scully was the lead announcer. He did network golf coverage on TV for CBS, NBC, and ABC during the 1970's and '80's. Scully also called pro football (remember Vin Scully and John Madden?). Plus, he was NBC's lead baseball announcer for nearly a decade, doing the "Game of the Week" as well as the playoffs and World Series.

Among the most notable moments are calling Sandy Koufax's perfect game in 1965, and Kirk Gibson's 9th-inning home run that gave the dodgers a come-from-behind win in the first game of the 1988 World Series. Both video highlights were played at the awards ceremony.

Next season will mark Scully's 49th in Los Angeles. If you bleed "dodger Blue," then you have the "Voice of the Dodgers" to thank for getting your heart pumping.

Edwin Clayton Arnold was born in Texarkana, Arkansas, Dec. 19, 1939. Rock n'Roll drew "Ed" into broadcasting. AT 14 he landed his first job on the radio in Texarkana. Later he had the chance to meet some of the founding fathers of Rock n' Roll, including Elvis Presley. The U.S. Marine Corps brought Arnold to California in 1958. A football Scholarship at Santa Ana College got him to stay. HE eventually earned a degree in broadcasting from Cal State Long Beach. After working at several LA and orange County radio stations, Arnold joined KTLA in the late 60's as an announcer, then sportscaster until 1975. Additionally he work at KABC-TV in news and sports and was the voice of pubic TV at KCET. In mid 1986 he returned to KTLA where he remained until 1999. In January 2000, Arnold kicked off his 6th decade in broadcasting when he returned to news and PBS, as the anchor and co-managing editor for "Real Orange" on KOC-TV.

Arnold was a long time member of the Crystal Cathedral and had been the volunteer announcer for Dr. Robert Schuller's internationally syndicated "Hour of Power" for more than 40 years. Dr. Schuller was on hand at the Golden Mikes to help roast Arnold. Like most journalists, Arnold's most notable news moments were born in tragedy. In 1992 the Olympic Park bombing occurred while he was preparing to anchor a satellite feed for KTLA News at Ten. Instead of reporting on the day's Olympic achievements, Arnold spent hours feeding live footage, updates and reports back to KTLA and CNN. January, 2007, marked Ed's 53rd year in Broadcasting.

On a final note Brian Bland, West Coast Bureau Chief, Associated Press, Los Angeles was honored for his nearly three decades of covering breaking news, everything from earthquakes, wildfires to high profile stories. RTNA presented him with a special recognition award. He and his wife Jeanette are planning to celebrate his retirement with a cruise to Hawaii. Best wishes comrade!

Your Questions About Women's Shoes For Men

Mandy asks…

Can a woman order men's shoes for herself?

I really want a pair of Tretorn sneakers, and every website I've visited has been out. Can I just buy my men's size equivalent (two sizes down), or are there other differences between men's and women's shoes I should consider?

Our pick of the answers:

Nope, you can do that!

Lisa asks…

What is the converstion for this woman's size in men's shoes?

I wear a 6.5 American women's. What size would that be in American men's? If I have a slender foot, I would probably have to make sure I get a slender fit in a man's boot, no?

Our pick of the answers:

Women's size 5 trainers are equivalent to size 8 trainers for men.

How do I comfortably walk in high heels?

I never wore high heels before. Can someone share me some tips? My feet hurts alot when I walk. On the street, women makes walking on high heels so easily and seems to feel no pain. How do they do that? Thanks.

It all depends on the shoe dear, cheap shoes will hurt, get some cushion insoles, they help alot, the concrete does do a number on your feet no matter what. You have to try on diffrent levels of heels in the store to find what height is good for you....and then, practice makes perfect, wear them around the house all the time, walk by coming down with the pressure on your heel, and then to the ball of your feet,...good luck!

Jenny asks…

Brooks Mach 12 Racing Shoes? Spike size?

I run track and cross-country, and I decided it's time to get some racing shoes. I went out yesterday and bought the Brooks Mach 12 Spiked shoe, but the only thing is that it was a little pricey (around $60) considering I had just gone to Sports Authority and they didn't have my size, but the most expensive one was $35. Does anyone have the Brooks? Are they worth the extra money? I run the 800 and the mile, but I want to use these shoes during cross country season too (the races are 5ks). The lady who sold me the shoes told me that the spikes that came with the shoe were too big, so I needed to buy shorter spikes. Did she rip me off or is that necessary? Thanks!!

Our pick of the answers:

They are pretty good shoes. They are worth the extra $

Your Questions About Women's Pumps Shoes

Jenny asks…

What does it mean for a work dress code to say Semi exposed heels?

Just wondering lol.

Our pick of the answers:

Semi-exposed heels probably refers to women's sandal-type shoes that have a strap which goes behind the heel, as opposed to pumps that cover almost the entire foot (including the entire heel).

Sandra asks…

Why do women say to only wear white during certain times of the year?

When is the correct time? Please time me WHY the season matters for wearing white... Please, please, please. No one can answer this for me, not even my female freinds.

Our pick of the answers:

Other than cultural and fashion reasons, white is often worn during the summer (it reflects most light and avoids overheating), whereas black and darker colours are more insulating for the winter. As for the 'no white shoes after labour day' rule, that seems to have its roots in issues of class. White gloves tended to be worn by women 'of class' as did the matching shoes and gloves that went with them. Wearing these remnants of a classist society straight after labour day could be seen as ignoring everything it stood for/ being insulting. This 'rule' was taken very seriously in the past but now it is largely forgotten. On a more practical note, wearing white shoes after labour day (the symbolic end of summer) might be seen as a faux pas for the simple reason the white shoes would be unlikely to go with the more drab winter wardrobe (the dark insulating colours) and look out of place / unfashionable. White pumps were particularly looked down upon, once again because they were unpractical for winter weather. The fact that brides and sportsplayers were excempt suggests this was mainly a practicality/ fashion rule instead of a strict code of ettiquette.

Your Questions About Guess Shoes On Sale

Carol asks…

I want to wear tall boots but..?

I've been wishing to wear tall boots under or a little over the knee. But everytime I try them on, my middle part of my leg (the middle between my knee and foot) never fits. Once when i tried, the sales person said that i have a small leg, so does that mean I'll have a hard time to find good tall boots? They're always too wide on the top,not like very very wide, but not as I hoped it would look like while on me. Can i like fix this somehow? I'm a size 6 or 7 in shoes but i guess i have skinny legs? Do i have to like get leg muscles or something? lol

Our pick of the answers:

There's nothing you can do about it, you just have to find styles that work with your legs. I buy my boots at Nordstrom because they have a wide selection and have many styles that work with my muscular calves. Below I attatched a link to their boot selection. At the top, you can change the filters so you can look for narrower boots. I added a few that I think you might like. Steve Madden shoes usually have a slimmer fit http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/chinese-laundry-nostalgia-over-the-knee-boot/3172511?origin=category&resultback=3689 http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/steven-by-steve-madden-intyce-boot/2956230?origin=category&resultback=2057 http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/miz-mooz-kira-riding-boot/3167521?origin=category&resultback=2452 http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/steven-by-steve-madden-satirday-over-the-knee-boot/3244298?origin=category&resultback=5017 http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/pikolinos-brujas-boot/3109869?origin=category&resultback=6657 http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/paola-ferri-7204-over-the-knee-boot/3182974?origin=category&resultback=6013 (I'm in love with these) http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/ugg-australia-channing-boot/3164962?origin=category&resultback=2182

Maria asks…

What strategies and techniques should I use to become a profitable shoes sales associate?

I am strarting a new career in the retail industry...the salary sound great! But how should I prepare my self to get successful in this position? (I know there will be a 2 day trainning seminar before I start...but I am curious) anyone know tips and techniques in shoe sales?

Our pick of the answers:

During the first three months of your new job, your new boss will be getting to know you and taking note of your performance. In today's marketplace there is no hesitation to terminate a relationship with a worker who isn't living up to expectations. Since most companies have a ninety-day probationary period, this is a crucial time for you as a new employee. GET TO KNOW THE WORK TEAM FIRST During the first three months, keep a low profile and learn the workplace politics and pecking order. Find a secretary who can explain the chain of command. Listen and learn but don't get involved in the politics. LEARN THE CORPORATE CULTURE There are lots of rules within a corporate environment, both formal and informal, like forms of address, unofficial dress code, the chain of command, etc. Pay attention to them if you want to fit in and be accepted. Don't be embarrassed to ask questions. Ask "smart" questions but do not pester your peers with too many of them or you will appear incompetent. WHAT DOES THE BOSS EXPECT OF YOU? Make sure you are doing things the way your boss wants them done. Find out what his expectations are. Don't guess; ask what he considers important. If necessary make a list of your job duties. Ask your supervisor for confirmation that you are in the right track. Remember there is an expected learning curve, but at the same time you must be demonstrating that you are achieving your goals. FIND A MENTOR Top executives often have a mentor – someone who is several levels higher on the corporate chart. Find someone whose judgment you can trust and who can help you grow in the company. Follow these tips and plan for the future the moment you start this job. Employment is a marketplace right now. Gone are those days when loyalty and hardwork translates to job security. Stay but be ready to leave your employer anytime. Everything you do and learn on this job is preparation for the next one. Each job will take you up the ladder of success, and your responsibility and earning potential will increase. Peace and blessings!

Your Questions About Nine West Shoes

Nancy asks…

How do you swing your hips when wearing high heels?

I want to know how to swing my hips when im wearing my heels, can anybody tell me how to do it or does the heels will make me swing my hips already?

Our pick of the answers:

First you need to walk correctly in heels. Don't walk as tough you are walking on stilts. Wak like you are in regular shoes. Step on the heel, the plant the rest of your foot down. Otherwise you look ridiculous and shouldn't wear them. This might be easier to accomplish in a thicker heel vs. A stiletto. Next, walk one foot in front of the other almost as though you are walking a tightrope, it will create that "swing" of your hips. Just make sure you're not overdoing it. Just put on a pair of heels that you love that give you confidence and rock them. I have an awesome pair of Nine West Stilettos that have a 3/4 inch wrapped lift and a 4 1/2 inch heel that every time I slip them on its like I get this major confidence boost. Have fun with it.

Maria asks…

How do you clean heels?

I have a pair of beige nine west heels. I'm not sure what the material is, its a semi glossy faux leather (I think). My sister ruined them by using them all day in mud and heavy usage... It got a dark stain that comes up the toe part from mud/water. How do I clean in and remove that stain?

Our pick of the answers:

1. Always remove dirt from the high heels before cleaning them. This maintains the shoe and protects the material from losing its quality. 2. Leather shoes should be polished and cleaned after every use. If you don't wear them on a regular basis, make it a routine to polish them once in a week. Polish is a natural conditioner to maintain leather shoes and covers stains and marks. Polishing leather shoes also retains natural oils therefore increasing its lasting power. 3. After every use, don't forget to clean the heels and its ends. This prevents the stains from sticking to the heels. To remove mud stains from the heels, clean them with a wet sponge and wipe off with a cotton cloth. 4. You can clean leather shoes with vinegar. Add few drops of vinegar in a cotton cloth and then clean the high heels. 5. Never drive wearing high heels. As they are sensitive, chances of losing the shape is more higher. Avoid exerting much pressure on high heels if you want to maintain them for longer use. 6. High heels are not like flat slippers or sandals. It requires much care while walking. One of the best ways to care for high heels is by walking less. Never wear high heels and walk on bad roads. 7. Never use water to wash or clean high heels. It is best to use a cotton cloth to remove dirt and stains from shoes. 8. High heels with studded stones should be kept inside a shoe cover. As stones lose their shine due to dust, always clean them after use and keep inside a shoe cover.

Your Questions About Steve Madden Shoes For Cheap

Laura asks…

What kind of boots are in style this year?

I am wondering if there are any really nice trend boots in Forever 21. I don't really buy boots, so I don't know much about which ones are in style at the moment. Any sales at other shops? Preferably cheaper please. I don't want boots that cost $100. That is just way over the top for me. I have a pair of uggs and that is about as much as I want for shoes that are expensive. I really don't need another pair of expensive shoes(well boots). Anyways, any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Our pick of the answers:

There aren't a certain style of boots that are in style each year. Any pair of boots, really, are ALWAYS in style, especially brown boots! I personally think Brown Boots are an essential, & I recommend getting a brown colored boots because they're very flattering with any outfit. :) Here are some styles that are super cute & in style every year in the Fall Time: 1. Riding boots! Http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=F21&Category=whatsnew_shoes&ProductID=2078766370&VariantID=s Brown Riding boots are really cute for the Fall & Winter, because they add some warmth into your outfit. Not everybody likes Riding Boots, I personally do, but they are really stylish with comfy sweaters, cardigans, & etc. These boots are mainly for the Fallish & Winter time, though. 2. Combat Boots! Http://www.aeropostale.com/product/index.jsp?productId=20615156 I love Combat boots or any laced up boots, because they add edginess to your outfit. You can wear these all year round if you want, because they're a little bit more casual and not too "Fall or Winter". Brown Combat boots are cute for girliness & Black combat boots give off an edgier effect! 3. Ankle Boots! Http://www.dsw.com/shoe/diba+kayden+bootie?prodId=253892&cm_mmc=CSE_GPS_Diba_253892&mr:trackingCode=BC881D4A-64BD-E111-AF97-001B2163195C&mr:referralID=NA&mr:adType=pla&mr:ad=29553466664&mr:keyword=&mr:match=&mr:filter=54535161944&adtype=pla Ankle boots can be paired with dresses, skirts, jeans, etc. They're really versatile, and you can wear them all year round as well! Http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=F21&Category=whatsnew_shoes&ProductID=2078918813&VariantID= ^ Those are "Booties", and they're similar to ankle boots, but more casual & year round versatile. It all depends on your personal preference! I'd suggest getting a pair that you know you can get a good wear from! A great brand is Steve Madden or Madden Girl Boots. All my boots are from them, & they last a long time! Hope this helped :)

Sandy asks…

How safe is the steve madden website to buy shoes online?

Hi I want to buy these boots from https://www.stevemadden.com/ and I was wondering how safe it is to purchase them with my credit card?

Our pick of the answers:

While there is no way to guarantee that you are dealing with a legit site, there are "red flags" to look for in a fake sites. 1) Payment options, do they include Western Union, moneygram, paypal and bank transfer? Some scam sites will accept credit cards but most prefer those 4 options which are anonymous for the scammer to pick up the cash and disappear. Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country your money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever. Paypal can only get your money back if there is money left in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account. Scammers know this and will immediately withdrawal your money and disappear. No money in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account means absolutely no possibility of refund for you. Your bank can only get your money back if there is money left in the scammer's bank account. Scammers know this and will immediately withdrawal the money you transferred. No money in the account means absolutely no possibility of you getting your hard-earned money back. 2) Contact options, is it a free email address such as gmail, hotmail or yahoo? Is it a chat box? Scam sites will rarely list a phone number or street address. Scammers love to create free email addresses and rarely will use a paid server. Email is easy to ignore and block and free email addresses are easy to open and close completely anonymously. Chat requests are easy to block via ip address. 3) Shipping options, do you actually get to choose the option at check out? Fake sites will frequently say "free shipping" and "tracking numbers emailed" but, if they ship anything at all, will use the post office, cheap, slow and no account number needed. Fake sites will frequently show icons for UPS, FedEx, DHL and TNT but then at check out will "ship" via EMS, the Chinese post office. If they send a "tracking number" good luck getting it to work on the EMS website. You will need even more luck trying to contact EMS when your tracking stops and your "package" is lost somewhere. 4) The icons at the bottom of the page, are they just copy/pasted pictures or links to actual sites? Fake sites will often have icons for Verisign, McAfee, Paypal and other companies at the bottom of the home page. Those should be live links to that company's website. Fake sites can't risk linking to real sites so they just use badly copied pictures instead. Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even partial sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer. There are scam busting sites with online lists of the names scammers use, thier email addresses, stock copy/paste emails, paid-for-in-cash cell phone numbers, stolen pictures and fake websites they use. You could start your search at one of those sites.
