What summertime shoes are appropriate for the office?

I have large feet so I have a hard time finding shoes that fit, let alone heels. I'm 5'11" and am self conscious enough about being tall, so I don't like wearing heels. What other shoes can I wear during the summer months that are approriate for the office? Shoes that I can wear with skirts and dresses? Like mary-janes?? I don't want to look goofy and I don't want my feet to sweat yuk!

Gay teen that loves to wear high heels?

Okay, so I'm going to sum things up for you. I'm a gay teen (16 years old) and I'm absolutely in love with high heels. I love 6-8 inch, heels. Red bottoms are my favorite. Like, I spend all of my free time looking at them online, but its starting to make me depressed, because I want to be able to be myself, and wear them, but I don't have the guts to tell my mom. Don't get me wrong, she knows about my sexuality, but I don't know how she'd react if i told her that I love high heels. I seriously love them more than anything in the world. It's just hard to explain. What should I do? Edit: the reason I know I love to wear them is because I used to wear my moms when she would be at work, and nothing made me happier. I felt like I was finally being 100% true to myself, but of course, I grew out of them, so now I can't even have that little fun anymore. What do you suppose I should do?

I am a huge advocate for being yourself. So I say you should definitely do it. Now what you need to decide is how you want to ease into this. If you dress like a stereotypical boy this may look awkward. But if you already have a more feminine style then you are just one step closer. My first suggestion is a bit counterintuitive. Buy some flats. If you start wearing flats and other more subtle girl shoes, then your mom will start to adjust to the idea of you wearing girl's shoes. Then there is a smaller jump. Going from tennis shoes straight into heels would be a shock. So you need to start small and work your way up. Everyone needs time to process new information, especially parents. So again, my suggestion is to start with girl's shoes, then move onto heels.

What size shoes do infants wear at this age?

My baby is 9 months old and what size of shoe should he be wearing?

It varies so much. I was told by a sales lady at Stride Rite that a baby's foot will grow a size approximately every 3 months. That being said, it is only a guideline. My son is only 6 months, and he's quickly growing out of a size 4.

Last time i went there I tried on some of the jeans - they fit and look better than the more expensive brands. In these tough economic times, what do you think of a guy that dresses in Walmart clothes? I know most of their shoes are dorky looking - I'll get them elsewhere.

Dude. I am going to offer you the best advice in the world. I wish someone had told me this 30 years ago, I would have dressed like a king and had a bank account like one too. Shop at thrift stores. Go check-out Salvation Army. I used to think they were smelly places that poor people shop at, but I was wrong. (Walmart is the smelly place that poor people shop at.) Most Salvation Army stores have a half-off day once a week (usually Wednesdays). You would be surprised at what people donate. Roughly 3% of the clothes are new with tags. Lots of folks get the stuff for Xmas and don't like the style. Or, they buy it new, put it in the closet, and then gain or lose weight and it won't fit them anymore, so they donate it. I find Tommy Hilfinger, Ralph Laurne Polo/Chaps, Pierre Cardin, Nautica and other high-end brand shirts and trousers for $5 to $6. On the 50% off sale days, it's only $2.50 and $3. Of course, prices will vary. So let me tell it to you straight. Skip Walmart. There's no reason to dress like trailer trash, when you can dress in style at prices BELOW Walmart's Chinese-made crap. Do it! Salvation Army my friend!

How often can you wear heels without injury?

There are many studies that show heels can damage your feet and back. Will it hurt you to wear them once in a while though? For example, could you wear 5 inch stilettos twice a month, for example and not get any problems?

I wear heels about 2-3 times per week, fortunately I don't have any problems yet, but when I get to work I usually kick my heels off under my desk, not that they are uncomfortable, but that's just me, I have always done this, I also carry a pair of flats with me just in case I have to walk a long distance. Its never a good idea to wear your heels all day you need to give your feet a break.

How to stop pain when wearing heels?

What can I do to wear heels without the awful pain on the ball of the foot, or whatever it's called. I've tried Dr. Scholls for her, but they just made it worse. What actually helps make heels more comfortable or just less painful?

I have the same problem...i use the dr.scholls and it helps a little...but what i discovered is wearing heels more and actually getting comfortable in the shoes minimizes the pain, it does completely go away, but i just ignore it.

I am looking for any place online where I can get nice boots in a size 12. Most places don't carry sizes past a women's 10 so finding shoes is hard for me. Also, if there are any stores that carry large sizes in Manhattan, let me know!

Texas State Law: Why is it illegal for me to carry one of my knives, but legal to carry the other?

Texas Legislature recently passed the State Law HB 1862 making it legal to carry automatic knives and switchblades. It takes effect on the 1st of September. With the exception of stilettos and other dagger like switchblades which are still illegal to carry. My best friend gave me his old stiletto switchblade. It's nice, in great condition, but obviously I can't carry it. On the other hand I have a 5.25" bear knife that my neighbor gave me as a gift when I earned my Eagle Scout when I was 17. Why is it that I can legally carry the bear knife on my person. But it's illegal for me to carry my stiletto? The bear knife is much more intimidating in my opinion.
