Help with my halloween costume! I can not cope with womens fashion!?

Ladies, I need your advice on some questions below! I have found out today just how much effort it takes for women to look good! I am going to a Halloween party tonight where everyone has to dress as the opposite sex. There is a prize for the man who makes the most realistic looking woman so I have gone all out for the costume and a female friend has helped me. We are similar sizes so we have swapped clothes. We wanted to go in matching outfits so she is wearing a tuxedo and I am wearing a little cocktail dress. The costumes look amazing and we will make people laugh but I can't believe how long it took to get me ready! Just the make up, the shaving and the stick on nails took a long time before I even got into the actual clothes! I have just put on my wig and shoes and we are going soon. But before we go I have a few quick questions to ask the ladies: - how can i be most comfortable in these shoes? They are stiletto heels about four inches high, I am trying to do a ladylike walk! - how should I sit, the dress is quite tight and short so I need to be careful! - my friend has given me a small purse with some lipstick and stuff in it, how often will I need to re do my make up? - if I need the bathroom which one should I use, mens or ladies! Try to walk on the balls of your feet so you don't clop around like a horse. When you sit, be sure to remember to keep your knees together. Again, good posture is important. How do I get high heels to stop hurting my feet?

I have tried on many heels and for everyone the whole arch of my foot is not actually on the shoe. After about a minute of standing the balls of my feet (and my heels) start to burn and I get blisters very quickly. Is there anything I can buy/do to help? Thanks!

To start when you buy a new pair of shoes especially heels it takes about 2 or 3 times of all day wear to break them in and then they become more comfortable. If that doesnt work Dr. Scholls now makes a gel pad for high heels for women. I have heard they work well. If you have some cash to spend Sergio Rossi (gucci shoes) makes unbelieveably comfortable heels that feel like tennis shoes. Good Luck!

I need to wear high heels,and stand for about 5-6 hours. I love wearing them but standing in them for that long is a pain. Does anybody know any good example or heels that are comfortable to stand in for a long time?

Are Jack Purcells (shoes) comfortable and semi-athletic like it was originally intended back in the day?

the converse kinds.. researched jack purcell was a badminton dude and popularized the shoes and designed the shoe to provide more protection and support on badminton courts.. coz im looking for a casual pair of shoes but is comfy enough to withstand a lot of walking.. chucks hurt after long hours of walking and rubber shoes just aint my style.. hehe

I used to have chucks but threw them away cause my feet bottom bit hurt after walking lots cause it is so soft the bottom. Jack prucells offer lightweight but hard bottom which is good for us walkers. They look more better and more mature than chucks which look kid-ish and are too popular

Pointers on how to wear stilettos or heels comfortably?

I have developed a love for shoes... I've never been a shoe girl, but it's my thing lately. I love the look, hate the feel. It's bad enough I have completely flat feet that I wear arch inserts for, but I want to be comfortable in the things. It's so bad, my feet are aching after five minutes. Do any of you ladies know any tips or tricks to making it a little more pleasurable? I do have some Dr. Scholl's ball support inserts, but it doesn't feel like they're even there. Anything would help!

Anyone can get use to wearing high heels, all you need is practice, practice and practice. Start with low ones and work your way up to higher and higher ones as you gain experience and confidence. Wear them around the house before you wear them out in public, and you will be fine.
