Your Questions About Heels Without Heel For Sale

Helen asks…

How do I look nice without being uncomfortable?

I used to buy nice clothes at very high prices and I looked good everyday. The only problem is that I was never comfortable in the glamorous clothing. They made me feel more confident, but I was never comfortable in heels and dressy clothing. Now I only wear comfortable clothing, but I never look as good as I used to. And I also only buy clothing that are on sale because I never had any money left from shopping before. How do I buy clothing that look and feel good for a good price?

Our pick of the answers:

The regular jeans-and-a-t-shirt can be glamourized. If you're over 26-28ish, you probably shouldn't take my advice. Sorry. If you have the body for it try wearing skinny jeans. If not, go for skinny flares. ALWAYS get dark wash jeans! Get a few nice but casual necklaces, like ( http://www.lanebryant.com/apparel-accessories/jewelry/necklaces/whimsical-charm-necklace/4018c277c929p14946/index.pro) . Just think silver and chunky--it's like immediate glamour, even if you're only in a tee and jeans. As for shoes, go flats. Target has some amazing and funky ones, and nobody will know where you got them! I reccomend ( http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Supply-Co-Odell-Ballet/dp/B001HXD99S/ref=sc_qi_detailbutton ) [i have them, they're super comfy and i wear them ALL the time] ( http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Vlasta-Snip-Toe-Flats-Metallic/dp/B0023RODL0/ref=br_1_12?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&searchView=grid5&searchNodeID=3429561&node=3429561&searchRank=pmrank&searchPage=1&searchSize=30&id=Mossimo Vlasta Snip-Toe Flats Metallic ) , and ( http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Valda-Ruffle-Flats-Mushroom/dp/B0026I4EJ2/ref=br_1_11?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&searchView=grid5&searchNodeID=3429561&node=3429561&searchRank=pmrank&searchPage=3&searchSize=30&id=Mossimo%20Valda%20Ruffle%20Flats%20Mushroom ). Obviously, you can have more. XD yet while there are flats, atleast one pair of boots is necessary too. DON'T get uggs. Everyone and their sister may be wearing them but they're HIDEOUS and men HATE them. Instead go for cowboy boots or ones with buckles or fur at the top or something. Target has nice ones. Also get one good pair of black converse. Low top or high top is up to you. If you're over 22, no funky laces. Now. Moving on to shirts. You may be motivated to just throw on some aero t-shirt or promo t-shirt. DON'T. When i said "jeans and a t-shirt" i didn't mean that quite so literally. Get some nice yet casual "t-shirts". ( http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/shirtstops/camisblouses/PRDOVR~20575/20575.jsp ) ( http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/shirtstops/camisblouses/PRDOVR~18934/18934.jsp ) ( http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/tops/shirtsblouses/PRD~513476/Apt+9+Leopard+Satin+Shirt.jsp ) ( http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/tops/shirtsblouses/PRD~558738/ELLE+Ruffled+Tunic.jsp ) you'd also need sweaters. It sounds like you basically changed your whole wardrobe, so i'm just giving you the whole schpeel. Lol. American eagle sweaters are awesomely comfy. Most of them are pretty cute though, too! If you wear a button up sweater, it looks amazing with a shorter skirt, a tiered tunic, leggings, and flats. All of this is pretty comfy, too. ( http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat380161&productId=1340_6967 ) pull over sweaters are excellent as well. They look nice over cami's, but only if you're 22 or under. Otherwise, try just wearing a v-neck sweater and no top underneath. Try old navy or american eagle for these. They're nice in stripes, too. Also get a cardigan. If you get nothing else, buy a cardigan. At least one cardigan. They're comfortable and very stylish. ( http://www.aeropostale.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3699444 ) you'll also want some basic t-shirts for the really dressed down days. Aeropostale and american eagle tees can be cute, and they are in women's sizes, but beware. Depending on how old you look, you can end up looking like an old woman trying to be youthful again-- which is NOT our goal. Just go to stores like target and old navy to pick up the basics. You should have 1-2 long sleeved shirts, 3-4 short sleeved, 1-3 basic color camis, and 1-2 turtlenecks. Try to get stripes in there at least once. (but never with the short sleeved items.) some of these items may seem a little pricey, which is why i ask you to treat this like a reference. Do try going to the stores that i mentioned, they're excellent. Also try discount stores like Tj Maxx and Burlingotn Coat Factory. You're on your way to comfy, comfy glamour!

Linda asks…

Does anyone know where I can get Kurt Geiger shoes,?

really cheap, like normal high heels, without a bit showing your toes. Red, with a big black buckle on? I saw some in cheshireoaks the other day in the sale for about £40 I was going to go back and buy them, but they have been taken. Anyone know where I can get some like that? Besides ebay (i have already checked) and the kurt geiger website. Thanks..

Our pick of the answers:

It might be worth trying the department store House of Fraser as they stock Kurt Geiger shoes. Good luck!
