About 6 mills of Jews from different European countries were killed in the WHOLE Holocaust not just in German Nazi Concentration camp Auschwitz - Birkenau. According to the most official research of the Memorial and Museum Auschwitz- Birkenau about 1,3 million of people were imprisoned there and about 1,1 million of them were Jews. From this number about 1,1 million of people were killed and about 1 million of these victims were Jews. Why do I think this research is the closest to the truth? Because it is Memorial and Museum Auschwitz- Birkenau that owns the most of original documents concerning former Nazi German concentration camp not any other institution in the world. As for Soviet archives, as a citizen of so called Former Soviet Bloc I DON'T BELIVE IN ANY SOVIETS STATISTICS. They were even less trustworthy than Nazis and even today Russians hide many facts about victims of Stalin regime and many of them treat this criminal as a hero. The number of people who died in Soviet Gulags was much higher than the number of victims of the whole Nazis genocide but the difference between them and Nazis is that they were never punished for it. It seems that the death of millions of innocent people was just less important than death of victims of Nazis so the public opinion of the world can just forget about victims of Soviets murders. Russian oil and gas resources are most important today.

The "6 million" figure for the amount of Jews killed in the Holocaust?

[1] Why the figure for those killed in the Holocaust by the hands of the Nazi tyrants was not dropped lower than 6 million, not even 5 million, is beyond me after revisionists placed the number of those killed at Auzchwits at 1.1 million, lower than the previously thought figure of 4 million. After adding up the deaths of people at EVERY camp used by Nazi Germany to murder the "undesirables", it adds up to this astonishing figure of 4,273,886. The Holocaust was thought to have killed up to 11 million people, but actually, it was around 4.2 million according to Historians' own statistics. That's what always puzzles me about revisionist and deniers is they like to crunch the numbers to some how lessen the crime that some how fewer deaths by their calculations some how make this horrible tragedy less horrific. They brag bout their knowledge but they come across looking ignorant as they usually only cite one camp Auschwitz, first off Auschwitz concentration camp was a large complex with three large camps and many sub camps. Then adding the other death camps in Poland, then when you add all of the deaths in the camps and sub camps across occupied Europe. Then include the deaths in the ghettos in Poland and the east and the executions by death squads. Start crunching those number and I can guarantee your number will pass 6 million. Many deaths were not counted and small Jewish villages and settlements where small groups were taken out and killed on the spot were not recorded. The nazis also destroyed some evidence and records but just because the records were destroyed or that they did not count each exicution does not mean that it did not happen. Then when you add non Jews to the list, and yes the holocaust was not just a Jewish tragedy the number grows even higher. People who helped hide the Jews, gays, gypsies, Jehovah witnesses, political prisoners, intellectuals and Soviet prisoners of war. Even some allied prisoners ended up in the camps. Non Jewish civilians and thier families across Europe that were suspicious of anti nazi behavior or aided resistance movements were put in the camps. There were German military families that were sent to camps because of thier husbands actions. Even regular German solders were sent to the camps because of their family heritage. The actual number will never be known. It is simply ignorant to assume that one camp with its gas chambers was the holaucaust, it wasn't, it was a crime across Europe managed and planned by the nazis and exicuted by the SS, foreign voulenteers and in some cases the german army and was supported by many Europeans. The Holocaust was not some small local thing but a major European event. The deaths were also not the only part of the holocaust but the torture, abuse, humiliation, starvation, assaults, starvation, and theft was a part of it as well. Deniers like to pick on small details to punish, offend and push an ignorant agenda which they tout as historical reaserch. The Holocaust itself is not some sacred special subject that can not be debated by most however it is senstive, and it should be. When the debate becomes about discrediting that is when the trouble starts.
