Our pick of the answers:

The Council of Governors is required under the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008. President Bush signed the bill into law on January 28, 2008. (Bush didn't mention this section in his signing statement about the act.) President Obama has now issued the required EO to set up the Council of Governors under the act. "SEC. 1822. COUNCIL OF GOVERNORS. The President shall establish a bipartisan Council of Governors to advise the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the White House Homeland Security Council on matters related to the National Guard and civil support missions." Seems like a decent idea, to get the governors' input on matters that might affect the National Guards in their states.

Linda asks…

What to wear to "Changing of Command" ceremony?

My boyfriend is in the Coast Guard and we are attending a Changing of Command ceremony where he was invited by the commander who is leaving (sorry don't know all the terminology) and the commandant will be attending. I want to dress appropriately for the event, help please!

Our pick of the answers:

Dress like you would for church or dinner at a nice restaurant. It'll be formal until the first keg is drained. EDIT...if the bf is an officer or staff the nicer the better...I'm guessing he is because he was invited
