why are brand names so popular with girls?

like m.a.c, juicy couture, louis vuitton, steve madden, gucci, etc. i mean, i've personally seen cuter purses that are affordable at windsor and jcpenny and stuff. as far as make up brands go.....aren't they all the same colors with every brand? and i'll admit, steve madden has super cute shoes....so i really can't comment with that one i'm really not trying to bash anything, i really just wanna know from a girl's point of view who owns one cuz i own absolutely nothing with a big brand and people have actually called me cheap and made fun of me for not owning a louis vuitton purse and stuff

Brand name stuff is nicer. There is a difference in the quality, style etc between a $30 purse and a $800 purse. Same goes with clothing. Some people have an eye for high end products such as clothes. When I go to a place like T.J. Maxx where you can occasionally find high end stuff I'll look though racks and racks of stuff and I'll finally find something I like and it will always be a high end designer piece. Some people have an eye for expensive things and just can't wear cheap stuff. Steve Madden isn't expensive btw. Just like high end makeup is way better then cheap drug store makeup! That's just a fact. The only decent drug store makeup is L'oreal and that's the most expensive kind you'll find at a CVS or whatever. You get what you pay for.
