Girls shoe size 5 is the equivalent to a women's Shoe Size?
I heard that when Girls feet approach size 5 they can wear the equivlant to a ladies shoe size. Is this true? and what would be the womens size I would need to get. Many Thanks

Mostly width. Ladies shoes are made narrower than men's shoes because they have narrower feet. The length of a size 8.5 shoe will be about the same for a mans or a woman's shoe. The other problem is that different manufacturers have different ideas about what is a size 8.5 shoe so an 8.5 from one manufacturer will not be the same size as those from another. This is why the only way to buy shoes is to go to the shop and try them
