Your Questions About Women's Platforms

Donna asks…

How useless is Women's Studies?

Our pick of the answers:

Well it depends how you look at it. If you're a woman that wants a convenient scapegoat for every instance in your life where you don't excell, then it's very useful. If you're a woman that wants to go around feeling like every man is out to get her and is oppressive by nature, then it's very useful. If you're a woman that wants to learn how to fight sexism against women by injecting sexism against men , then it's very useful. If you're a woman that wants to try and suppress anything that hints of masculinity and needs ways to justify those feelings , then it's very useful. If you're a woman that wants to learn how to create laws and policies giving women advantages and then defend those advantages with sexist notions about men , then it's very useful. ...So, I guess it does have a use for women like the ones described above. And feminists need that platform to inject their sexist ideas in a thousands of new women every year and get more "recruits." ...The rest of us in society? Yea, women's studies is pretty useless.
