Your Questions About Heels Without Heel For Sale

Helen asks…

What do you think of this introduction to my article?

I am writing an article in my school's newspaper about spending habits. What do you think so far? It is 8:30 on a Saturday night. You are getting ready for the crucial third date with your roommate's cute cousin from Brooklyn. What should you wear? You know you bought a new pair of Valentino pumps at the sample sale last Thursday, and they would look amazing with that one shoulder dress you bought with the money you were supposed to be saving for the new blender. Oh well, date night is more important. As you rummage through the closet, you find the shoes. Wait, those aren't the shoes; yours didn't have that little scratch on the toe, and the heel didn't look as damaged when you originally purchased it. Oh, there is the receipt sitting next to the box it came in. You sigh and place the shoes back in the box. Great, you think, I spent three hundred dollars for that? Every day we make purchases like these without even realizing it. You go shopping knowing that you are going to spend your gift card on the coat you have been eyeing for weeks. But as you walk through the stores doors and see all the fabulous merchandise surrounding you, you now see ten other things you want just as bad. Without giving it a second thought, you grab whatever you can get your hands one and head for the checkout. A mere shopping trip has turned into you spending half of your month's salary. Well, you could always give up your heating.

Our pick of the answers:

Wow, that's vapid. What exactly is your target audience? WASPs? JAPs? I'm feeling queasy now.

Carol asks…

pointed toe heels?

How do you honestly wear pointed toe heels. I like how they make the foot appear trim but when I try to wear then (size 9.5) my toes get crunched together to fit in the pointy end that I can hardly walk. With this particular shoe do you have to go a size higher? My foot is narrow and long so going a size higher would be looking for something in a size 10 it's also difficult to find a closed box/round toe heel that doesn't look like my grannies shoes. Fall is coming up and I want something a bit warmer then open toe/peek toe but still professional. Nix boots I can find those easy

Our pick of the answers:

Pointed heels can be a problem wear, but try a size up and put some of those nonslip grip pads, or dr shole's for her pads to keep your feet from screaming at you! I wear an 8.5, 9 and when i try on pointed heels, they make my feet look HUGE, so remember, try wearing them with jeans, maybe boot cut. This will go over the shoe a little bit, but still keep them seen in a more flattering way. It will make you look like you have longer legs and not longer feet!! As for rounded shoes, steven madden makes some nice close toes shoes, and in some classic but updated looks, such as the mary jane (on a heel, comes with or without gloss finish), for some FABULOUS peeptoed shoes, i'd suggest guess, or aldo. I have some great red peeptoed shoes. If it's a little pricey for you, wait until they go on sale! But if you have to have it now, just splurge a little bit and invest in some great shoes! Or you can go to pinup girl clothing and look around, they have some nice shoes as well! Www.pinupgirlclothing.com good luck!
