Linda asks…
What kind of shoes should I wear out tonight? Tired of flats?
I'm going to dinner at a pretty nice place. I'm going to wear a cute dress that's not too short, not too long. Is there anything to wear besides high heels or flats? It seems like all I can find are either extraordinarily high heels or flats. Anyone have any ideas?
Our pick of the answers:
Ok... OPTION 1 I know it sounds odd and not very nice but trust me, it looks cool! I wore black high top Converse with a blue dress and black tights. It sounds kinda weird but it looks good. I got loads of compliments anyway... OPTION 2 This is another thing which LOOKS cool but doesn't sound it. Doc. Martens. Any colour. With a cute dress'll look great. You could wear skin tights with no socks (or cover them up) or have some pretty type socks JUST showing over the top. Obviously they don't have to be Docs, you could wear Military boots or something similar. OPTION 3 Gladiator Sandals could look nice depending on the colour of the dress. Maybe these are too casual... I know you said no heels or flats but you could probably find some REALLY nice flats and there MUST be some Mid-Heels SOMEWHERE. Ok, what about expensive but casual shoes? So they look like they're quite casual but they're a nice make? Like VANS? Or TOMS? Personally, (if the place you're going to is REALLY nice) I think you should wear High Heel Gladiator Sandals. **IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE** I'm not saying you're an idiot but you might not... Susan asks…
What Type Of Shoes Can I Wear With Tights?
For some very odd reason, Im preparing for fall and winter already. I am really getting into sweater dresses and black tights. What type of shoes go with that outfit? Where can I get Sweater dresses, black tights and shoes. (I am plus sized in everything...shoes included) Also, im a teen, do you think i can pull off bright colors? I wear size 13 in shoes and 12 in sandals
Our pick of the answers:
Most covered shoes will go with a sweater dress. Ankle boots look especially nice. You can get sweater dresses as well as tights at Wet Seal, Urban Outfitters, H&M, American Apparel, and even places like Old Navy. Most shoe stores have ankle boots--Nine West, Aldo, Steve Madden, etc. Bright colors are fine as long as you aren't covered in them from head to toe. Leave at least one portion of your outfit neutral for some breathing room, whether it be your dress, your tights, or a cardigan if you layer.
