Your Questions About Court Shoes Tennis

Ruth asks…

What is the best hard-court tennis shoe?

I'm looking for a new shoe, but i don't know which is best for the hard-court surface in terms of comfort, durability(optional), arch support, and a feeling of contour to the foot. Breath ability would be very nice too. I currently own some barricade V's They are really nice, and durable, but i don't know if there is anything better. Any idea's?

Our pick of the answers:

Barricade V's are indeed the best. Don't waste your money on anything else.

Helen asks…

Tennis shoes for hard court?

I've been playing tennis on an unpainted, untreated asphalt surface (think a parking lot with lines painted) with regular running shoes. I'm starting on a proper hard surface and I'd like to buy some shoes that will help me play my best and not mark up the surface. What sort of shoes do I need? Do I need specific tennis shoes or are will any running shoes suffice? I'd like to pay under 100 USD but my budget is quite flexible.

Our pick of the answers:

I am looking at the New Balance 547. They are about $60. I couldn't want to pay too much for a pair of shoe either. I whether get a new pair of shoe every other year. Expensive shoe doesn't last forever any way.
