Your Questions About New Heels Without Heel

Ruth asks…

How to wear heels all day? Which secret to use every day?

It is possible to wear high heels all day without hurting your feet? In my new job I have to wear heels all day, have any way to avoid me to stay with painful foot?

Our pick of the answers:

Quickly, you don't say how high you are talking about, so here are some general rules that I have figured out in my 25+ years of wearing high heels. Don't buy cheap shoes, spend a little more and feel the difference. Don't wear new shoes all day, wear them around the house first, get use to them before spending a whole day in the same pair. Bring a second pair to switch out during the day, no two pair are exactly the same. Buy new shoes late in the day, so they fit when your feet are their largest. Buy gel inserts, they really do help. Buy high heels with a slight platform under the toes, the better made ones have more cushioning for your feet hidden in the platform. Practice wearing them as much as you can, wear them all the time, around the house, doing chores, running errands on the weekends, that way your feet aren't in shock when you are at work all day. The more you wear them, the easier it gets, trust me. Don't start out with 6 inch ones, work your way up, start at whatever height you are comfortable with now, wear them and buy some a half inch or more higher, gradually wear them more and more until they feel normal, then repeat the pattern until you are in those fab looking 5 to 6 inch ones that are everywhere these days.

Donna asks…

What are the perfect comfortable insoles for high wedges and heels?

I just brought new high heels and wedges. I am looking for good insoles to put them in because they sometimes give me pain.My question is do you know any good comfortable ones without any feet pain.

Our pick of the answers:

You can try these from stiletto hardware. I've read good things about them. Http://amzn.to/mbYeE4
