Your Questions About Stilettos Knife

Sandy asks…

What animals can a human beat with just a stiletto knife?

I think I would even be able to take on a lion. But that's just a brave guess. It would be easier though to take quite a lot of animals I think except those thick skinned beasts like hippos, rhinos, elephants, walruses.

Our pick of the answers:

It is a sick thought. I wouldn't rely on a stiletto knife, get a real knife... You would probably break it in half at the pivot on a lunging tiger. Anything that could normally kill you would because this is not an FPS, things don't die right when you stab them.

Carol asks…

What is the minimum legal age for someone to carry a knife in Colorado?

I was planning on getting a little pocket knife for my nephew's birthday, but I don't want to get him arrested for carrying it. I know that the concealment blade length limit is 3.5", and automatics and balisongs are illegal to carry, but what if any age restrictions are there?

Our pick of the answers:

There is no an age assignment in Colorado law so you need to check with you local authorities.}{ Colorado - Criminal Code Section 18-12-101. Definitions... (e) "Gravity knife" means any knife that has a blade released from the handle or sheath thereof by the force of gravity or the application of centrifugal force, that when released is locked into place by means of a button, spring, lever, or other device... (f) "Knife" means any dagger, dirk, knife, or stiletto with a blade over 3-1/2 inches in length, or any other dangerous instrument capable of inflicting cutting, stabbing, or tearing wounds, but does not include a hunting or fishing knife carried for sports use. The issue that a knife is a hunting or fishing knife must be raised as an affirmative defense. (j) "Switchblade knife" means any knife, the blade of which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in its handle... (a.3) "Ballistic knife" means any knife that has a blade which is forcefully projected from the handle by means of a spring-loaded device or explosive charge.
