I suspect my new boots are made of pig leather?

I bought Steve Madden's Linderr Boots last week. It says they are leather. Do brands explain it, if pig leather is used in the making of the products or not? I am so disgusted only by the thought of it. This is not the first time I've bought genuine leather product. The former ones (from some Turkish brands and Nine West) just never smelled as bad as they do. Pig is a dirty animal. İslam don't allow people to use any material that made of pigs leather or hair.

I don't think the smell has anything to do with the leather type. Leather usually smells bad when it's new. It's because of the tanning process and the dye. Just leave the boots in an airy place for a couple of days. It won't smell ay more. P.S. Yes, we are not accustomed to use products made of pig. It is forbidden to eat pork. I wouldn't worry about shoes. It is forbidden to drink alcohol, But we can use cologne, can't we? I think the same can be applied to shoes. To worry about shoes is exaggeration.

I have a pair of Nine West heels that are covered in gold glitter. I rarely ever wear them, because I'm not sure what to put them with. I want to wear them for New Years Eve...any suggestions?
