Your Questions About High Heels For Cheap

Laura asks…

high heels Ottawa...?

im am going to Ottawa for my grade trip im will be in grade 8 when we go on the trip( in no this because if we booked very thing way before it's cheaper) we are going to the hard rock cafe for a dance on the last day i wanted to wear skinny jeans with high heels do you think im old enough and high heel don't bug me and they are no that high

Our pick of the answers:

Yea, high heels are appropriate for a 13-14 year old. Its not like they are skanky or anything. If u asked if a mini skirt and tube top was ok, then id say no. But go ahead and wear them heels. And have fun.

Helen asks…

Comfortable High Heels?

I'm 14 and I like to wear about 1 and a half inch heels. I'm a size 7 and a half. I really need some examples of cheaper, more comfortable, high heels. The ones I have always dig into my heel and I get blisters. What heels have you found feel good, and work well?

Our pick of the answers:

I usually wear 4 to 5 inch heels and they hurt me really bad until i got dr. Scholl's inserts. They make special ones for women who wear high heels

Your Questions About Ladies Shoes Size 12

Mary asks…

Ladies, do you have longer feet than a man in your life?

It can happen, but so what if your feet are pretty? What's your shoe size and his? Do you pedicure?

Our pick of the answers:

My feet are a UK size 3, and my boyfriend's feet are a UK size 12. Obviously, my boyfriend's feet are more than double my size, and I don't know any women with bigger feet than their male partners. We don't really like feet that much. Everyone says my feet are cute, feminine, and pretty. However, I rarely get pedicures because I don't need them, but I do sometimes get my toe nails painted.

Jenny asks…

Where can I buy size 9 ladies shoes?

I live in the U.K and i'm only 14 and i have size 9 feet. Do you know anywhere that sells them that big!! I've tried evans but they're granny styles! Please help!

Our pick of the answers:

A size 9 in the UK is equivalent to a 12 or 12.5 in the U.S. I found this website that gives a number of places where you can purchase shoes online in large sizes. It's based in Ireland. Even if they can't ship to you, you might find brands here that you can order elsewhere. But their homepages says worldwide shipping, so you should be able to get your shoes! Your Questions About Womens Shoes Cheap

Jenny asks…

Where can I find cheap boots online?

I am moving to edinburgh for uni, but in my dorm they have restrictions on clothing space (lol) because last year too many people were buying more wardrobes and cramping their dorms and then leaving them once they left. I need to find a few pairs of cheap boots that I can throw away after a few times of use in winter. I would prefer under 20 pounds, jackpot would be around 15 pounds. Where can I get them? I am female.

Our pick of the answers:

Hi, not completely sure if this is the kind you mean, but hey ho, http://direct.asda.com/george/baby/shoes/faux-fur-boots/G004244980,default,pd.html http://direct.asda.com/george/boys/shoes-boots/wellington-boots/G004354559,default,pd.html http://direct.asda.com/george/womens-shoes/ankle-boots/G004286293,default,pd.html hope I helped :)

Maria asks…

Where should I go to buy my clothes for my new hostess job?

For my new hostess job, I have to wear a black button down shirt (no low cut), black pants with a crease, black socks, and black non slip shoes. Where should I go to get all this stuff and how do I make this outfit look good on me?

Our pick of the answers:

Ross tends to have really good prices on slacks, which I find are the best for restaurant work. Macys can also have good prices for slacks as long as they are on sale. JCPenny has a lot of plain button up shirts in their womens department that are fairly inexpensive as well. I would invest in a black cami as well because most women and junior button ups are meant to be low cut, so a cami will help cover you up. You can get those pretty cheap at Forever 21, Wet Seal, or Target. Wal Mart also has good prices on some nice black socks. As far as non slip shoes go, I got mine from JCPenny and Kohls, and they were fairly priced but I would also look into getting walking or running shoes that are non slip because after being on your feet long hours, those kinds of shoes will help support you more so you wont be quite as sore after work.

Your Questions About Food Network

Sandra asks…

What food network personalities have no formal training?

I'm just curious to find out what food network personalities have no formal training. Any other famous chefs?

Our pick of the answers:

Most of them. Especially the loud mouth ones who think they are chefs - Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, The Neely's, Melissa D'Arabian, the Deen "boys", probably a ton of others. I quit watching Food Network because they run those Guy Fee-etti (aka Ferry) marathons all day and all night, every day and night. He probably has no formal training. Most of the personalities talk way too much and that gets very tiresome. Really, it doesn't matter. If you like them, like the food they cook and they seem to know what they're doing, enjoy it. Most of them have had their 15 minutes, I no longer watch them.

Lizzie asks…

Can someone please tell the Food Network to get rid of Sandra Lee?

She's not a cook - shes a drunk with a bunch of terrible shortcuts and tricks. I think the Food Network does not have a "Tell Us" link because they're afraid of all the negative remarks they might get about her Semi-home made show.

Our pick of the answers:

Lets replace her with Sara Lee!

Your Questions About High Heels High Hopes T Shirt

Helen asks…

Help me choosing my outfit? :)?

So basically, I have this school trip tomorrow. We're going to be at the museum for like 5-6 hours So I would really appreciate if you helped me to come up with an outfit? I am looking for an outfit to wear with these shorts: http://dailybooth.com/ImHere2Stay/26229581 they're high wasted and when I pull them all the way up, the bottom of it comes right under my thigh. The waste is like an elastic thingy but it has the same pattern as the rest of the shorts. and I want to really be comfortable. I'm 14 so I don't really wear heels or any other stuff like that :) So like instead of flip-flops, I would really appreciate if you chose some more comfy shoes to walk around with like converse or some adidas superstar, you know what I mean? Not like sport shoes, a little more 'fashionable' :) and for shirts, chose whatever you want :) m So now I hope I gave all the details you need to help me complete my outfit :) Thanks for reading & Helping :)

Our pick of the answers:

Just wear a black tank top with a thin cardigan and a thin head band with flats or a white v-neck t-shirt. With a long simple necklace and some cute sandals. Dont forget paint your toe nails! But if you don't wanna do the sandal thing, wear some cute ballet flats, it would complete your outfit.

Mandy asks…

Does anyone like my short story? Im submitting it shortly to a contest? Any thoughts? Critique? ?

May could not have come fast enough for the budding group of departing seniors from Colford University. The euphoric skyline that lain over these jubilant soon-to-be grads stood in a blend of blue and tangerine. Numerous students who packed commuter vans and walked in groups averaging 3-5 were just beginning their night off. Most were ready to let their hair down after a tumultuous month of papers, exams, and research studies. Among the gallery of white baseball caps, oversized cups and domesticated, drunken cackling stood well-known attendees at an off-campus mixer. Ellie Seaver and her group of girlfriends stood outside the deck of her friend Jody's place, as if they were attending a Hollywood premiere. Checking out the scenery, their efforts of meeting legitimate dating material were lackluster at best. Across the way, Brendan Raynor had his sights set on Ellie, a 5'7 tawny-haired super cutie. Affectionately referred to as 'Ellie-fish' by her single mother who had Ellie at a young age, the Seaver women were very close. Tonight, she was celebrating for mom just as much as she abhorred dealing with being asked about what she had line up after finishing up her last semester. Brendan, `wearing a striped, button down shirt curtained over dreary, denim jeans and parted black hair a crop thick sideburns, the guy could use push here or there. Although her valued and respected women, you'd be hard pressed if the women in his life had thought of him any more than the brotherly type, a bit to his chagrin. Kicking back with his freshman year hall mates and reminiscing about slip and slide at 3 in the morning—Brendan. Was Ellie Seaver out of his league? Maybe. But then again, never underestimate the power of objectivity….This was Brendan's game plan, until of course he spotted a slew of Capri-sporting, sandal and big neck laced girls who drew his eye away from his secret crush. Ellie looked on, exchanging a huge grin with Brendan, to which he blushed mopped his hair while he pretended not to notice. It didn't work. In that traditional sense, these two particular seniors came from opposite sides of the tracks. In lieu of their group of friends, social standing wise in high school, you'd stereotypically never would have guessed that the other knew the other had existed. This was different. The two had study group together for a few semesters and always exchanged a warm hello when passing each other in the dining halls. Neither lacked drive, besides they were graduating college in a week so things should even out smoothly. Early afternoon, Brendan woke from a semi-inebriated stupor to the hammering at the door from his conservative father. Right off the bat, the ever-so opinionated father of 4 looked his oldest son square in the eye with a sentiment of "Kiddo, let's talk". For Brendan this was all too routine. In his mind, and arguably others his age a more suitable description of his father's lectures would be John Raynor's Bullshit Cat walling: Volume !, available in nerve-wracking and unnecessary. The guy cared about his parents although he sought to find his own true form at Colford. His mother was the first to hug the first of the family to have done anything productive past high school. The two Raynors were high school sweethearts, raising their first born at the peak of coming to terms with their own sense of identity. Over the years, they had gone out of their way to bond with their kid over a slew of topics—ranging from balancing a check book to why having sex on the first date is big trouble. Brendan hoped beyond hope this would not be one of those chats. The Raynors saw fit to lay down the law no matter how advanced they felt their 21 year old proved to be. Balancing a semblance of integrity and tact was one thing, but keeping up his laundry habits was an Achilles heel. "How you been, dad," Brendan asked with heavy eyes and semi-combed bee hair as he stood up to carry up the rest of his month's worth of wardrobe his mother insisted she wash. "He's put on weight, John", she chimed. "I doubt that, honey" he replied firmly with a 'let's not sugarcoat the guy' look. "Bren—it's been a while since you've been at school and we're going to have to ask that you switch to living in the basement and/ possibly moving out," his father relayed passively. "What the hell?" Brendan exclaimed dumbfounded. He tried to work his mother into a seeking of approval that he curse up a storm in front of them both at once. It would not be the first time. "What about MY room, ma?" Look son, we know this is a hard pill to swallow but things haven't been all that great at work. And ever since we came here, your mom and I have been struggling like crazy to get enough first aid for your brother and sister through school. That's what it is….I'm sorry." The middle child of the family felt like the forgotten one, as he buried his head in his hands and galloped upstairs before getting the attentio

Your Questions About Heels

Lizzie asks…

How come when you are wearing high heels you stand in a different way than in flats?

I have noticed that when I wear high heels I always stand with my hip to one side. It is like I automatically stand in that way when I wear high heels. How come I stand in this way when I wear high heels ??

Our pick of the answers:

I think its to relieve the pressure on your lower spine, as heels are designed to make you stick your butt out - so dropping one hip gives your back muscles a brief chance to uncurl :)

Sharon asks…

Do gel insoles for high heels really work?

I have a great pair of heels. I like to go out in them but after a night of walking and dancing in them, my feet are purple and numb. I am wondering if the gel insoles for high heels really work. I don't need to worry about them showing in these shoes. Thanks.

Our pick of the answers:

There are some good products out there, and I have tried several of them, but these here shown in the link below are the best I have ever used!! They are specifically designed for HIGH heels like 2.5 inches and up. They relieve a lot of the pressure that your feet feel when wearing heels and it really helps to soften the impact. You can also get the ones for the ball of your foot too as seen in this link or double up. The great thing about these insoles is that you can transfer them from shoe to shoe so you don't have to buy multiple pairs. I have tried them in my 5 inch stilettos and they work wonders! I hope this helps, and I hope your feet stay happy! Http://www.classicpumps.com/comfort.htm#footnotes

Your Questions About High Heels Online Shopping

Linda asks…

Where can I buy nice high heels like Ariana Grande?

I really love the high heels Ariana Gramde wears and I was wondering where I could buy something similar like her heels. I don't have much money but I want to start using nice heels( I also want to learn how to walk on them lol). I don't know the names of heels but I searched on google and i found this: stiletto heels, britt heels, strappy heels, ankle strap heels, pumps, wedge heels, etc. I searched them and those are the kinds I like. Do you guys know any stores? Is it a good idea to buy them online too? If so, do you know any online shopping heels?

Our pick of the answers:

I take my girlfriend shopping sometimes, she has tried online but I would suggest Payless. If you live in Europe try pennies. American stores have lots of selection, but as for online you could try amazon and eBay which would be cheaper

Helen asks…

Your Questions About High Heels

Sandy asks…

high heels ?

What kind of high heels do you wear ? show me .

Our pick of the answers:

I wear all kinda...depends on dress i ll give u tips on that.. Wear a shorter heel. A 2" heel causes less problems than a 4-inch heel. A shorter heel will give an elongated appearance if it is a thin stiletto type rather than a thick or chunky heel. Try to save the use of your high heeled shoes for functions where you will not be on your feet for extended periods of time; treat them as a limited privilege accessory. Take your designer shoes to a pedorthist to have them custom fit to your feet. They may be able to stretch the toe box to better accommodate your feet. Try wearing a larger size show than usual and insert heel cups indo the backs for a better or more comfortable fit. Wear open toe shoes instead of a similarly-styled shoe that causes discomfort in your toes. Partially open toe shoes have become more acceptable in many work environments, allowing you to further customize your shoes to your feet. Remember that however appealing those high-heel, high-fashion shoes are, your feet need to carry you around for a lifetime. Treat them kindly! Here r some lovely heels 4 u http://flordelaqua.files.wordpress.com/2007/06/chocolate-high-heels.png http://www.virginmedia.com/images/high-heels-gpg.jpg http://z.about.com/d/shoes/1/0/o/p/white_high_heels.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w214/mcl1029/shoes.jpg this is wat i wear http://couture.zappos.com/images/733/7337085/7769-458682-p.jpghttp://www.chinadaily.com.cn/lifestyle/2006-08/11/xin_4408031014042631991819.gif http://www.womenlifestyle.com/images/high_heels.jpg

Ruth asks…

Do you like to wear very high heels?

I'm 16 years old and I like wearing high heels a lot. And nothing under 4 inches because I don't find smaller heels cute. I have several pairs of gorgeous stilettos and cute high-heeled boots and I wear them every time I go out. I love being tall for the night (I'm 6ft in heels). Are there other girls about my age who like to wear very high heels? Do you wear them to school, to go shopping, or mostly when you go out? And ladies do you wear them to work?

Our pick of the answers:

Yay, another high heels lover! I myself am a huge high heel lover. I love high heels. I always have, even when I was a little girl. My mom would always joke around with me and say, "When you were born, you had little stiletto's on your feet." Call me crazy, but I think high heels are super comfy and I walk in them without any problems. I'm even crazier for saying I hate flats and tennis shoes. Not just because I think they are ugly but because I can't walk in flats nor tennis shoes. Especially flats! They are so uncomfortable. I'm always getting blisters from wearing flat shoes, I don't last a half hour. Now I could be in 7 inch heels for days and I would still be comfy. For me, my heels have to be above 3 inches at least. Nothing under that. As for where I wear my heels, I wear them everywhere. Seeing as they are the only thing I wear. I wear them to the mall, to school, and I'll be wearing them to work. The only time I'm really seen in tennis shoes is when I'm at the gym working out.

Your Questions About Jessica Simpson Shoes Online

Sandra asks…

Help with Puma's shoes sizing!?

I've never bought anything from Puma and I find this cute pair of shoes from Puma online. I normally wear size 5 in women's shoes. Do they run similar sizing compare to Michael Kors, Coach, Jessica Simpson, and Nine West? Thanks. I'm very interest in Puma's flats and running shoes.

Our pick of the answers:

Pumas run large by about half to 1 full shoe size! Probably because of all the athlete clients. So you probably want a 4 or 4 1/2. I'd say go with 4 1/2

Maria asks…

Where is the best place to but hair extensions online?

my price range is from $0 to $150.00. I have dark brown hair, when its wet it looks black. I have naturally curly hair, so i would need them permed. i have heard of 'hello gorgeous hair extensions' but im not sure whether to trust that site i heard of foxy locks i would really not like to have gaps in the hair. Please help me find the best!! i want clip ins and REAL hair I THINK I MIGHT GO WITH FOXY LOCKS, BUT IM NOT SURE. CAN YOU PAY WITH PAYPAL?

Our pick of the answers:

DK Getting extensions are not that easy, like buying shoes. People waste tons of money on extensions because it's the new trend. Without doing much research. Then, they come to YA HAIR and ask us questions on how to clip it on their hair, if they can go swimming, play sports, etc. It's really not that simple! Then again, it will not work out if you have thin hair, the clip will be showing through! How embarrassing will that be, if it keeps falling out from your head, if it's not on right!?! Kate Gosselin got hers from a salon, and she was on the front cover of People magazine, but she HATED her hair!!!! Access Hollywood. She paid $7,000 for hers. Took 7 hours. At the salon: 25-50 ($50-$100) extensions, they also have hidden costs, like monthly maintenance fees, one girl charge YA poster $248 more saying the salon put 120 extensions on her head, but she only counted 60. They are very charming! Jessica Simpson & Paris Hilton don't even use their own hair extensions, plus they have stylists to do them in photo shoots or travel with them. Jessica was photographed, showing her clip-ons during a windy day. BTW: The 29-year-old socialite was sued Wednesday 8-12-10 in Los Angeles for allegedly breaching a contract to promote and wear hair extensions manufactured by Hairtech International Inc. The company is seeking $35 million in damages — 10 times what it paid Hilton for her endorsement. Hairtech claimed Hilton did not wear the company's extensions as promised and missed a launch party in 2007 because she was in jail. The lawsuit claims Hilton agreed to wear Hairtech International Inc.'s extensions, but sported the fake locks of a competitor in 2008. Do you think you'll have time for school, trying to put on hair extensions over 1 hour every morning? EXAMPLES OF WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT their HAIR EXTENSIONS well on friday i got synthetic extensions, and they dont curl very well, so i was wondering if i plaited them and left them over night would they go crinkly and mix in with my real hair because theyre fake i dont know if i can actually style them very well, which is annoying! +they are starting too get ratty, any tips on how to take care of them ? Thanks! And another ex: I have sewn in hair extensions. My natural hair is neck-length, and these extensions are down to my chest. They're sewn in (if you didn't already know) with black tracks, while the hair is my natural hair colour: brown. But I want to have it up in a high-ish ponytail. But, obviously, the tracks are really obvious. How can I make them less obvious? I hate having to have my hair down all the time. I've always wanted it, but now I'm getting bored. :/ One more ex: I removed my hair extensions yesterday after 4 months. My hair is really thin does any1 no any good products to thicken it? And another ex: i bought 100 dollars clip in 100% human hair extensions and it hurts and pulls my hair. U shud just wait til it grows out. My hair was real short and i wanted extensions real bad and now i feel bad wasting 100 bucks on that where i cud of spent it on clothes or sumother beauty thing. Ur not going to wear them after a while cuz u get annoyed having to keep clipping them in and all or whateever kind of extensions ur getting. This one says it all: i have had hair extensions done in a hairdressers in melton mowbray 3weeks ago. I have been told they are 100% real hair but they look terrible,it looks like i have been back-combing it. If i curl them it just goes frizzy and if i straighten them it also goes very frizzy with the back-coming look. I have bought all the products that was advised and i have looked after them the way i was told to. I have had hair extensions before and they were lovely, i had no problems. I have been back 2 times to the hairdressers for help and advise and i was told that the hair is rubbing on my shoulders which is giving the back-combing look (my shoulders are not that big). I am now asking for my money back and the hair taken out but they are refusing. I have spoke to the hairdressing federation and they told me to call trading standards, they said to get them tested but i do not know where to send them. Thanks for any help.

Your Questions About Stilettos Knife

Maria asks…

How do you depict a switchblade knife in a production of "Twelve Angry Men"?

We're performing "Twelve Angry Men." The script requires, as props, two identical switchblade knives. Switchblade knives are illegal. Are there legal stageprops available anywhere that look like switchblade knives? This is a commonly produced play. What does everybody else do?

Our pick of the answers:

Real budget: most prop stores should have switchblade and stiletto props...sorry, I don't have any links...a quick google gives several hits, but none of them seem to pan out as real stores... Some budget: most gag gift stores have switchblade combs which could be modified (found on Amazon for $6) Low or no budget: look up "switchblade gag gift" or "redneck switchblade," these are pretty simple clothespins, popsicle stick, and rubber band devices that, with a little paint, can provide respectable effect on stage. In westside story, we used plastic knives. The prop shouldn't make or break the play.

Mandy asks…

What is the penalty for ordering an illegal knife over the internet?

Im wonder cuz i live here in cali and i want to order an italian stiletto switchblade

Our pick of the answers:

Your Questions About Heels Without Heel

Donna asks…

How does a tall girl improve her posture without looking like an amazon or dominatrix?

i'm 6'1 without heels and super slinky what can i do...my breasts make me feel uncomfortable when i have my shoulders back is this a confidence problem or a posture problem? thanks

Our pick of the answers:

It's probably a confidence problem. So what if you look like an Amazon? There are people who will adore you as you are.

Betty asks…

How do you level rubber heels on a pair of shoes?

I have a pair of heel-boots that I bought and wore earlier this year. I walk on the outside of my foot, so the boots were horribly run-over. I was wondering if there was a method to making them level again, like, could I file them down or cut them with scissors? I don't want to ruin them..they are rubber soles. They look brand new because I only wore them for a month or two, it's just the back heel that is ran-over.

Our pick of the answers:

I hope this helps, but i'd suggest that you took it to be reheeled, they know what they are doing without mucking up your shoes xx

Your Questions About Ladies Shoes With Red Bottoms

Sharon asks…

LADIES: I need help with looking less frumpy and beauty treatments?

Does anyone know how it is so easy for a lot of women to look put together and keep the thigns they were nice? I look frumpy 99% of the time. I work in a nice office, but wear the same heels every day and mostly black slacks with a t shirt. I sweat a lot in my armpits and feet, so I don't wear white shirts a lot (or any shirt I dOn't want to ruin) and I wear the same heels with paper towels on the bottom so they don't stink! All of my clothes seem to fade and tear sooner than most other people's. I'm talking within a few months. I have tried laundry tips, but it seems to be in the way I wear them. I can say the same for all of my shoes and heels. I also have no idea how to dress. Like I said, my wardrobe mostly consists of black slacks, black normal heels, t shirts, and jeans. I have a few dresses that I would never wear outside of the beach. I have lots of accessories, but they don't seem to match anything I own. I guess my question is; Ladies, how do you keep your look up? How do you keep your clothes nice? And how do you keep them nice and "GENTLY" wear them throughout the day as that seems to be when I wear mine out the most? Just one wear and it looks like I've had it for years. Also, how much a month do you spend on looking nice? I want to be low maintenence, but I'm so tired of looking gross! I'm 24, work in a nice place, and have a few extra bucks, so I need to look nice. I just don't know where to start or what to do. Should I do my hair every day? Get it styled? What about my nails? I am about to move in with my boyfriend and when I shave, my skin looks irritated and red and even more so if I continue to shave every day. Do you ladies wax? What's an easy and cheap way to do it?? I'm really at a complete loss. Even my room looks frumpy!! Thank you for any help at all :)

Our pick of the answers:

Hmmm. Well, you have a boyfriend and a decent job so you are almost there. The first thing you need to have is a attitude tune up. U dont see that you are beautiful. You are. Until you feel it you could wear the queen tiara and still feel down about yourself. One thing to do is look at your life. You need to be realistic in what you will upkeep. You don't seem like you would put hours and hours into your appearance that is required to look "maintained" every woman knows most natural beauty is a big crock of crud. Good news is most men who are quality men like natural women. The number one thing is to be clean. Secondly, you may want to go into a few salons for a few consultations on your hair. Ask the what they think about your color, etc. Most salons will oversell you for $z usually a few highlights around your face can add light to your face and pep you up. Just make sure it's a shade that flatters you. If you have really dark hair it might not be a good idea to do highlights. Make sure you trim your hair. Also, you can paint your nails yourself if you don't want to keep up the acrylics which are a bit of maintenance and the nails can lift off and you can get infections there. Still I love the look of nails and they make you look femme. Also, get a mist or perfume that smells feminine and lightly use it. Maybe your boyfriend likes vanilla. Having a bit of scent around you is very girly. Also, when you buy others buy less and buy the best you can afford. Better to have two nice pairs of pants than 20 disheveled ones. Maybe use a dry cleaner so they get pressed really nice. All I can say is try stuff on and try to buy better quality. Don't wear your work clothes at home. Immediately take them off and hang them up. Don't throw on the chair or floor. Look at magazines to get ideas of what looks good. Maybe you could wear a navy suit. Pinstripes. They even have some affordable suits on Blair and Chadwick's of you want to experiment with suits. I usually buy from spiegel.com, dillards, and little shops in the mall. Buy leather black pumps that fit right. Make sure they are in great condition. Shoes are very important for comfort. Step out of your comfort zone and put on some clothes you would never dare to wear usually. Try other looks. You should try to buy some classic pieces like a cardigan and tank underneath, pearls, etc. They don't have to be real but it's always good. You can't go wrong with a nice pair of black slacks a cashmere sweater and black shoes. You can play it up with jewelery. Since you are younger you might wanna have a bit of fun with your wardrobe as well though. Pick our est feature and play with it. It may be your eyes. If its your legs but skirts that show them off ( not short shirt shirt at work) off you have cleavage you can wear a slight v neck and keep conservative everywhere else. Beauty is mostly a state of mind and no matter what you look like some will still find you not there personal taste so make yourself happy. Good luck

Carol asks…

Describe your clothing style. Ladies and Men.?

I need to get a feel of all kinds of fashion senses, and I am curious to know..do you believe that you can figure out someone's personality by the clothes they wear? Answer my questions!! please. And feel free to drop names of brands while you describe your fashion sense. Shoes, clothing, hair, accessories, the whole shebang.

Our pick of the answers:

Lol, I'll try. Hair: just down and wavy, kind of messy. It's a medium brown color with a lot of gold and blonde in it. People tell me I have model's hair, but I don't think so. Sometimes I'll wear it up in a messy bun, or I'll wear a simple headband. Accessories: maybe a knit hat, sometimes I'll carry a tote or wear a funky thrift shop belt over a tunic. I'm really into scarves right now. I don't wear earrings (I don't believe in getting my ears pierced.) For bracelets, I usually stick with a few yarn bracelets, or some bangles. For necklaces, I like those really long ones, with a pretty handmade pendant. Dunno if it goes in here, but for makeup, I usually wear some coverup, a teeny bit of mascara, and some simple shimmery lip gloss. Shoes: I'm obsessed with boots. I like the Steve Madden Bonanza boots, I wear cowboy boots, I'll wear anything. I wear Converse, I have a pair of classic black and white low tops, and a pair of neon pink, blue, and yellow high tops. I wear some gladiator sandals on weekends, and I also love black sparkly flats. Clothes: For bottoms, only skinny jeans. Occasionally denim, and I'll sometimes go with bright colors (pink, blue, red, etc.), but I usually wear my favorite pair of Wet Seal skinnies that fit me perfectly. For tops, I'm really into the long, baggy ones right now, with a belt around the waist. I'm also into white v-necks. I love any cute graphic tees from dELiA's or Wet Seal. For sweaters, usually a cardigan, or a bright, patterned hoodie. I believe that you can sometimes tell what a person's personality is like from the clothes they wear. Hectic, unorganized people will usually end up wearing really random, uncoordinated things. Girly people will wear skirts, heels, pink, etc. But I agree with the other answerer, if someone is poor, you really can't judge their personality. They could have a great personality, and you might not even know it. Wow, I wrote a LOT. Lol. XD Hope you don't mind. =P

Your Questions About Shoes For Women

Helen asks…

What kind of shoes do young women wear?

Not teenagers, but not adults really. Like I know women wear heels a lot but I'm still in high school and don't feel like wearing heels all the time.....many of my friends wear flats but my feet are skinny and seem to slip out sometimes. These are the shoes I wear mostly, mine are pink and black : http://store.nike.com//index.jsp?country=US&lang_locale=en_US#l=shop,pdp,ctr-nikeid/pn-mogMid0902/pbid-INSPI_182819_v9_0_20091102/piid-13410/pid-307969/cid-1 But girls my age (17-18) I don't see wear these much, I just want some cute shoes that look nice for my age. Those Nikes look a little juvenile to me lol. And nothing TOO expensive. Like UGGS. I'm not working at the moment and don't have $200 for 1 pair of shoes cause of my car payment. Oh and I like comfortable shoes, that's why I like my nikes but they are getting boring for me wearing the same shoes! Links would be great but not necessary. By the way I DON'T want any shoes to look skater kinda. More of something that would look good with more of 'preppy' look I guess? Can;t remember other word so I'll go with preppy haha okay, no payless cheap....lol but like good quality under $100

Our pick of the answers:

There's really a wide variety to choose from. You go with some cute strappy things like: http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/d6/3/AAAAAiPMgNkAAAAAANYwQw.jpg or maybe some simple shoes with small detail:https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR7amMCqA3XZdwycWq173UeGtpLgxfmAb_OGPpI6c8O_XqblaPlHtKZCteuo_mWsp0zcVHCUxjQmqx0_sVwZO2dUOSryfOxMDUSzK-G9pD6AOAizDza4TGWVQo1PL2IFiyu4sn6pGUwIs/s320/studded+flats.jpg or if it's colder, definitely go with some nice boots like: http://cdn.overstock.com/images/products/P10269126.jpg or you could even "prep" up some converse, like in these outfits:http://www.limelife.com/R/ResourceModule/generated/08.23.08.am.style.converse_w_546_h_746.jpg just gotta know how to wear them =) if you need more ideas, start checking out everyones' shoes and decide what you do and don't like. Also go into some local shoe shops and try on different pairs to see if they're comfortable enough =) one last idea is to check out ebay.com and you might find something nice :) http://clothing.shop.ebay.com/Womens-Shoes-/63889/i.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A3018&_catref=1&_dmd=1&_dmpt=US_Women_s_Shoes&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_vc=1&_sop=15&_sc=1 hope this has been helpful! Good luck =)

Sandy asks…

What are some good running shoes for woman?

I have fairly high arches and some foot problems so extra cushioning would be a plus. Also, are those shoes that tone your body work at all? I have heard they put extra strain on your joints.

Our pick of the answers:

Ok...first things first. High arches indicates that you under-pronate meaning you need a cushioning shoe. My suggestions are the Asics 2150 & 2160 model, Asics Nimbus or Kayano. Brooks Adrenaline 10 or Ravenna, Nike Lunarfly and Lunar Glide. Secondly...sorry to say, no there is absolutely no research to support that Sketchers Shape-Ups or Reebok's Easytone and Runtone shoes do anything in terms of muscle toning or enhance running performance in any way. The theory behind these shoes is that by landing on an unstable surface it sends a signal to the brain to contract more stabilizing muscles along the leg in order to maintain balance. Again, this is the theory and has not been subjected to testing by either shoe company. A woman came into Dick's Sporting Goods where I work as the "Running Specialist" with a broken Cuboid bone, a weight bearing bone in the foot, after exercising in a pair of Reebok Easytones. There is however scientific studies conducted on the benefits of a more minimalistic approach. This however takes a lot of time and dedication to more to a more barefoot experience and something which I suggest with the warning of taking it slow. If you choose this route I'd suggest trying the Adizerio Sonic by Adidas or the Brooks Green Silence as transition shoes from a heel strike pattern to a forefoot striking pattern. One you can safely land on your forefoot for many miles I'd suggest trying something like Vibram Five Fingers. Good luck and Happy Running
