Your Questions About Womens Shoes Cheap

Sandra asks…

Is it ok to wear loww cut DC skate shoes to play on my basketball team?

I just signed up to play on my town's girls basketball team. They didn't say anything about shoes, but all I have are 4 pairs of converse, which I know would be terrible for basketball, and a pair of low top thick DC skate shoes. Basketball shoes are really expensive and my parents don't have the money for them right now. Until I can get some real basketball shoes, can I play in my DC's? Or would it be really unsafe? thanks in advance! mood on!

Our pick of the answers:

You shouldnt play basketball in DC skate shoes. You might risk hurting your ankle. You should consider buying a cheap pair of nikes or adidas. Nancy asks…

How can I spice up my wardrobe without spending a lot of money?

My style is really casual. I usually wear a T-Shirt (not a baby-tee), long jeans, tennis shoes, earrings, and a hoodie when it gets cold. I have a pure hate for Hollister and those kind of stores, mainly because they make girls look skanky and high mantience in my opinion. Anywho, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to make my wardrobe a bit spiced up? Without spending a lot of money of course. =] Oh, I also never wear makeup except powder...so that hopefully kind of shows how casual I am. lol. =]

Our pick of the answers:

I love cheap jewelry. It adds something to any outfit. You could try bold jewelry and cute flats. You could wear a chunky necklace, earrings, bracelets, etc. (though probably not all at the same time). You could have on a bright or otherwise noticeable headband. You could wear a chic scarf (around your neck or waist like a belt). You would wear a belt around your waist up high, slung down low, etc. Accessories can make old outfits seem new. For a few new clothing items, check out Old Navy's sales.
