Shoes for walking around New York?

I have really flat feet, and whenever I walk a certain distance my feet, ankles, and calves hurt REALLY BAD. This cannot be an issue when I go to New York. I've been trying to find shoes that will help with my issue & still look cute. I've heard lots of good things about Keen's, but the ones I found might not be as supportive as I would like. Been to New York 5 Times and I can tell you that you will do plenty of walking. If these shoes work, and they look like they will, you should be find. I would suggest learning the subway system to cut down on walking as much as possible. Every time that I go to NYC, I use the subway system almost exclusively and it goes close to pretty much every major attraction. Good Luck!

why are my feet and ankles so so swollen?

yesturday i wore heels for pretty much the first time. I'm 28 and have always woren flats, tennis shoes or sandels. So yesturday morning i said to myself i'll change it up and got dressed nice. I loved all the compliments BUT by the end of the day the bottom of my feet hurt SOOO much i could barely walk. Then when i got home and finally took those shoes off my feet and ankles were about double there size. Why did this happen? Was it just because of the heels? Then today i went back to tennis shoes, but they swelled up again! I'm not pregenant or on my period. Geez thats the last time I'm wearing heels!! At least for a all day function. Would they swell up that much if i just wore them for a couple of hours ? Oh and Monday thru Wednesday I did have 1 can of soda each day, could that have anything to do with it. I try not to drink alot of soda usually but these days there was no water deliveried and i dont drink tap water (yuk). Why do women put there feet thru such agony!!!
