New this year is the Premium Beer Garden, where beer aficionados can sample craft beers from Ale industries, Dogfish Head, Diago to Duvel Moortgat. This expands the offerings for beer enthusiasts to taste something different in addition to the incredible lineup for savoring full size thirst quenchers.

Premium Beer Garden

The Premium Beer Garden tasting area offers sampling of hard-to-find beers. Or if you just want to try something new without committing to a pint, this is the ticket for you! A $ 10 entry fee for the Premium Beer Garden gets entrants three, 3 ounce tastings from craft beers of your choice in the Beer Garden.

Premium Wines

Rare finds from the vine are showcased in the Premium Wine Tent. The superb array of wines that have scored 90 points or better will be on hand for tasting. With fine wine, comes cool jazz and blues tunes provided by Jeffrey Halford and the Healers at the Premium Wine Tent.

Free Entry & Tickets for Tasting

Entrance to Festival is free and festival-goers can purchase souvenir Art & Wine 2013 wine or beer glasses for $ 6.00 with tasting tickets available for $ 5 each or the package rate of $ 20 for one glass and three drink tickets. Ticket booths are located along the main midway and throughout the festival grounds and ID is checked when tickets are purchased and beer or wine is served.

Music & Entertainment

The 2013 Art & Wine Festival showcases top quality, non-stop local and Bay Area music and entertainment for the whole family. Two fully equipped sound stages provide venues for various genres including Lydia Pense and Cold Blook, Finding Stella and Public Eye among others.

Visitors come from surrounding communities throughout the bay area to roam the isles of vendor's arts and crafts and unique creative works. It is through this event that many people discover hard-to-find designs and offerings they would not see elsewhere. The wildly popular Grape Stomp Competition, a festival favorite since 1981 is back again with stomps taking place twice a day and audience participation is encouraged.

Tastes for the Tummy

A feast of flavors combined with the wine and beer offerings make for a happy tummy. Event attendees can work up another appetite dancing to local Bay Area musicians. Edible options range from Fuddruckers, California Pizza, The Tamale Factory, Thai Kebob, Country Lemonade, and so much more!

Kids kick up their heels at the Children's Area

Fun for all ages can be found at the expanded Children's Area. New games and activities for 2013 including trying your hand at archery, rock climbing wall, obstacle course, and just maybe a slime machine.
Roll in the Giant Hamster Ball or show your artistic side with an airbrushed tattoo or face painting.
Back for more thrills this year is the Clayton Bike Stunt Team with a BMX Bike show featuring amazing jumps, twists and stunts that seem to defy gravity.

The Skinny on the Festival

The Walnut Creek Chamber Art & Wine Festival runs Saturday, June 1, 11AM to 7PM and Sunday, June 2, 11AMto 6PM. Bicycle parking is available in the designated lot. Free shuttle buses run continuously during the festival. Pick up the shuttle at park & ride locations originating at nearby Shadelands Business Park. Paid parking is available on-site for an $ 8 vehicle fee. Walkers, hikers and cyclists can travel to Heather Farm Park via the Iron Horse Trail. Heather Farm Park is located at San Carlos Drive and Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek.
Pets must remain on leash at all times at the festival. A "Pet Rest Spot" sponsored by Brandman University allows pets to spend time in the shade, get a drink of water and clean up bags are also available.
