when buying shoes, often, you get shoes of an actual size, correct? with sandals, should it be 1/2 inch less?

now basically when we buy shoes, if we're a size 9, we often get a 9.5 for allowance... what about sandals? should it be that you get half an inch less to make the sandals fit since it's an open toe? instead of getting a 9.5 when you're a size 9, you instead get an 8.5.... thanks for the info...

It really depends on the designer of the shoe, how they are made. In Christian Louboutin shoes I wear a 9. But in Jessica Simpson shoes, I wear an 8.5. But normally with sandles.... It's your normal shoe size.
