Your Questions About Nine West Shoes

Helen asks…

Recently bought a dress, what should i wear with it?

I recently, bought a white ruffle dress, that goes just above the knee. It's like, a summer-y dress. Thin material. I wore, over it a linen blazer, which i really liked. Any other suggestions, as to; What shoes, or anything else that i could wear with it? I couldn't find any pictures of it, apologies. -Thanks.

Our pick of the answers:

Hi, Ok, so I have an image of a lightweight white dress in my head that I'm going to go with. It may or may not work with what you've got...either way, I'm going to give it a try. I think a white dress is perfect for summer with a pop of color. I chose these strappy, Nine West wedges in a green color for that. If you're not a fan of that color or just want to keep it simple/neutral I would go with the dark natural color. If you're feeling like giving your feet a break, hit up some gladiator flats. Here's a link for the wedge: http://www.endless.com/Nine-West-Womens-Rusty-Ankle/dp/B001KU6JO0/ref=sr_1_46_vp/?cAsin=B001KU6JA4&fromPage=search&qid=1238870946367&sr=1-46&asins=B001AZQNFA,B001G8X6AQ,B001G8X6HO,B001HBIBPM,B001F51YLI,B001K3JMQY,B001KZI9FW,B001AFHFPW,B001L1RSHA,B001G8X6JM,B000WHXWQ0,B001AZJVG8,B001G8X6CO,B0015G8B4U,B001AZLLQ6,B000REY140,B001HK1VIM,B00155K3QU,B00186XS1S,B001G8X692,B0013BLURW,B000YI3ABY,B001CS94QK,B001HK20RI,B001H9N3X4,B001ELKY9Q,B001E6FAO0,B0018CCRTG,B001H55G5Q,B001GS8732,B001GS8AAM,B001F51TC2,B001L5SI48,B000YE28X4,B001HK1V8M,B0012H1FCM,B0013BRQPM,B00160XZ32,B001TH7HRM,B001KZIEH0,B001LF37PS,B0010TR3UK,B00178VAIU,B001ELKQQW,B00123SFFG,B001KU6JA4,B001N43ZPY,B0013BKWAS,B000YK1GRM,B0018CEG04,B001G8X65Q,B001H55B2E,B0010TR454,B001HBIBSE,B000W8YZN8,B001P076IS,B001AFJPDW,B001I90PAM,B0015DEJ30,B001M4JJN2,B001BLHMVC,B001F51YOU,B001K3JNDG,B001OW6PR0,B0017UCR7G,B001N43YPA,B001EO79KU,B0012D84HU,B001F51T68,B001F51TMW,B0012D83MQ,B001KU6J6I,B001K3JN2M,B0018CK7R0,B00178V2TW,B001KVYO46,B001L4N650,B001HK1PII,B000PHPN8C,B001G60A70,B0017UGU9M,B0013BPTDI,B001B181DU,B001BA1H82,B000X03OV4,B0017UGTS4,B00138UEUY,B000XI4APK,B001H31HA6,B00119OZQE,B0012KZKHA,B00103A3Z8,B001G8X66K,B000WA9VLW,B001ELKRCK,B000YKDMR4,B0016A8QBI,B001P5GYK4,B001A3Y90I,B000XHX142&asinTitle=Nine%20West%20Women%27s%20Rusty%20Ankle%20Strap%20Wedge&contextTitle=Search%20Results&page=1&prepickColor=1&size=100&dept=241745011&node=241745011&nodes=241745011&keywords=wedges&sort=relevancerank A slouchy bag is a must for this situation if you're going out in the sun. If the shoes have a bright pop I would keep the bag neutral, if the shoes are toned down, go for a bright leather washed hobo. I think color is fabulous but it's better to highlight with one color than to confuse the eye and get the dreaded 'rainbow effect.' Here is one slouchy bag I'm loving from urban outfitters: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=10&startValue=1&selectedProductColor=&sortby=&id=16057630&parentid=W_ACC_BAGS_HAND&sortProperties=+product.marketingPriority,-product.startDate&navCount=15&navAction=poppushpushpush&color=&pushId=W_ACC_BAGS_HAND&popId=W_ACC_BAGS&prepushId=WOMENS_ACCESSORIES For evening, you can do a fun clutch again, in a bright color or even use a subtle metallic for a little shine. Pair it all with some hammered gold bangles or an enamel cuff, or go with some chunky earrings to finish it off. Either way, white is a good color b/c it's like a blank canvas so you can go crazy. I'd chose colors wisely and remember that less can be more, but you should definitely be having some fun with it. Hope that helps, *stella

Lizzie asks…

how much total does it cost for prom in the end?

when you add up makeup, dress, shoes, hair, limo, and after prom plans, how much do you think it would cost? im only in 8th grade, but if its a lot of money i would like to start saving up for my junior year prom.

Our pick of the answers:

The ride: $90-$1,500 Forget about renting a sedate Town Car. Want to show some 'tude? A1 Luxury Limousines of West Palm Beach, Fla., expects to book four chauffeured stretch Hummers — featuring seven TVs, hardwood floors and seating for up to 20 — for full-time prom duty for the next few weeks. Price: $1,500 for seven hours, gratuity included. "Nine out of 10 calls are for Hummers," says owner Eric Salat. Tickets: $10-$125 A bargain at Macomb High School in Illinois, where seniors fork out $10 per couple, which includes a buffet. But in upscale Orange County, Calif., couples pay $125 for Fountain Valley High School's soiree, noshing only on appetizers and desserts. Capturing the moment: $25-$100 The only time a promster may see her date in formal attire — or ever again, for that matter — requires a Kodak moment. There's also the must-have preening group picture with best friends. Prices for professional photography range from $25-$100, depending on the package. "It's kind of a girl's thing" since guys usually pay for the tickets, says Jeaneen Bauer of P.S.S. Imaging of Anaheim, Calif. The dress: $150-$500 A Seventeen magazine poll found that 94% of girls plan to spend about $195 on a prom dress. Designer dresses can run $500 in New York, where girls begin shopping for the big event as soon as the school year starts, says Candace Kantor of RK Bridal Boutique. Accessories: $10-$400 Inexpensive flats, ballet slippers or flip-flops work fine for some. For others, trendy footwear can exceed the cost of the dress. At the Fendi store in Beverly Hills, some are forking out $400 and up for prom footwear. "It's hysterical, spending that much for the sole purpose of prom," says Fendi salesman Michael Aguirre. Pushing up prices: crystal tattoos, garters, tiaras, shawls and — for those wearing a two-piece gown — diamond-stud belly rings. Accessories: Hair: $15-$150 Guys may be able to get away with a $15 wash 'n' dry at Hair Cuttery. Seventeen found 86% of girls will have their hair professionally styled at an average cost of $52. But salon prices escalate quickly. "By the time they leave, they're looking at $100, $150," says Toni Watson of the Trade Secret salon in Waco, Texas. "They want to be the belle of the ball." Grooming: $25-$100 Nails, fake tans, teeth whitening and brow waxing are increasingly essential. It's easy to drop $30 for a pedicure, $25 for acrylic glue-ons, says Camie Takas, owner of L.A. Image Nail Salon in suburban Phoenix. "They are like mini-brides," Takas says. "They spend a fortune." Tanning-bed costs: 10 sessions for $65 at Tantastic Tanning Salon in Nutley, N.J. The flowers: $20-$30 A minor but necessary expense for both sexes. Girls buy the boutonnieres ($7 at Breath of Spring Florist in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.); guys cover the corsages (wrist or pin-on, $15-$20). Some girls also opt for fresh flowers for their hair. So it depends. Prom tickets alone at my high school cost at least $100.
