Formal wear help. Would this outfit be okay?
My friends have organized an entertainment evening in memory of our friend who passed away last year for her birthday, and the dress code is 'dress to impress' so formal wear and that. I've decided on this dress: http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/dresses/belted-split-sleeve-tunic_234214101 And these boots: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LADIES-BLACK-PLATFORM-WOMENS-ANKLE-HEELED-BOOT-SIZE-3-8-/140500073490?pt=UK_Women_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item6672be010b#ht_1335wt_1139 With black tights. Would this outfit be okay for something like this? Or could anyone make any suggestions on what I could wear instead, or any accessories I could wear? Any help would be greatly appreciated seeing as I don't ever wear anything formal and don't really have a clue what I'm doing! Thank you <3

Firstly im really sorry for your loss:/ obviously black is the known colour so thats makes your outfit suitable and fit the purpose. The boots are LUSSHHH! But with the dress there is a sliver belt to emphasise on your waiste you should always purchase that and buy silver accessories like silver hoops! With this outfit i would also have your hair down long and curly ;)
