ladies, how do i walk in these slick/very high heels? tips please?

so i am going to my senior prom in 2 weeks. i have over 25 pairs of heels and were them pretty often but i have taken a break and haven't worn any since January so i am out of practice per say. so i have some very tall 5 inch with 1/2 inch platform cherry red heels. the prom is in LA at a fancy hotel. the whole inside i know is hard tile/linoleum floor. walking with heels on cement is easy but they slip on hard floor if i dont walk pretty slowly, they literally slide like a snowboard should i sand the bottoms? how can i be sure i walk in them correctly? any tips on walking would be great, even basic ones so i can be sure i wont look like a fool thanks = ] the dress is short.

There are little triangular shaped rough pads you should stick on the bottoms of the shoes. You can get them for a buck or two at most shoes stores. Clean off the shoe bottom, peel the backing off the pads, and stick them on. If you aren't falling down, taking tiny steps, or tottering about, you are fine! Don't worry about "walking sexy" because frankly you are in enormous heels. Any attempt to "walk sexy" is likely to end in you looking very unsexy on the floor with bruises and a torn dress and an end to your evening! Walk safely and be lovely and have a great night!

What kind of jewelry would work the best?

The dress is tea length, fitted on top and flowey on bottom. It is red, halter style but with straps that criss cross in the back. The straps are black; and does like a T shape under the bust line and down in black. Shoes are high-heeled sandals in red. I am very petite, and with a short neck. Hair is short, bob cut. I was thinking silver dangle earrings, bracelet and silver/black cocktail ring. any other suggestions? Thanks!!!
