Your Questions About Women's Shoes

Betty asks…

What are the best women's shoes for the office this fall?

I am starting work and do not have any decent shoes because I have been a student for the past 6 years or so. I want to look somewhat stylish without spending a lot of money and without looking ridiculous. Any links to actual shoes (that match with black pants and are not loafer types, prefereably have a little heel or are a wedge) would be most helpful!

Our pick of the answers:

A mid-heel black pump - not real pointy toed, not real round-toe, but somewhere in the middle, or a square toe. Not patent leather (shiny) but basic black is always wearable. Then get a similar style in another color like brown or navy. You don't have to spend $50 or $70 or more, you can get nice work shoes for about $30-or even less if they are on sale. Today and tomorrow is tax-free shopping day for some stuff here in Virginia and the stores are having all kinds of sales right now. I would go to a store vs. Internet shopping for this particular item. Good luck! P.S. After you get the basics, then you have time (money) to get styles that are in, but that can last at least two seasons.

Lisa asks…

What is the difference between men's shoes and women's shoes?

The shoes i want to get ran out in men's but they have it in women's. So, i was just wondering if the sizes are different or is it the shape of the shoe also ? I am a size 9 in men's sizes, what would that be in women's shoes

Our pick of the answers:

You would be an 11 in womens- i think womens shoes are generally narrower too.
