Is anyone else enjoying the smears on Y! Answers?
Over the past several weeks (in particular this past week alone), McCain supporters have been going crazy. They've been doing nothing but posting "questions" about how Obama is a terrorist, associated with terrorist, an extremist, etc..I'm guessing these folks have been living under a rock and haven't been paying attention. Yes, I agree that you can't trust any "predictions" until election day, but considering so many media outlets are considering it "extremely unlikely" for McCain to win this election, will reality ever set in for these people? Fivethirtyeight.com alone predicts an Obama victory 9 to 1. Not to mention, many if not the majority of the swing states are leaning towards Obama, with some RED states even weakening (granted, a weakening red state like Texas wont go blue in three weeks, but you catch my drift). The electoral college predictions on nearly every outlet (including FOX) shoes an overwhelming amount of votes shifted towards Obama. What do McCain supporters think is going to happen? Do they think that all of these Americans just wont show up on election day and hand McCain the election on a silver platter after his party made a mockery of our country over the past eight years? But all they seem to be doing is spreading lies, radical claims, and hate, many that we witness right here on Y! Answers. Do they really think this is going to help their cause? The smears is one of the things that has hurt McCain's campaign the most, ironically. So as an Obama supporter i'm naturally welcoming all the nasty comments because the only people who read them here and agrees with them are fellow McCain supporters still living in denial and ignoring the inevitable. It is quite bizarre that these people cannot seem to work out that they lost all of these arguments months ago. The more they bring them up - the stronger Obama gets - but in thier own deluded minds they are winning. Perhaps accepting the real situation, discussing issues and addressing what actually needs to be done, rather than simply lying about an opponents character and his plans would be more productive for them and give McCain a chance. Not that I am complaining mind you. If they want to throw away the election and ensure a Democrat congress and President that is fine with me.
