What shoe brand makes a pair of comfortable (and not ugly) black pumps for work/business?

I am trying to find a pair of comfortable black pumps for interviews and work. Nothing higher than 3" unless there's a significant platform. I actually prefer a pair with platform if possible (to lower the height). Any suggestions, I don't mind paying more for a pair, up to a certain extent, but they have to be comfortable and last a long time.

You can check out Dr Scholl, Clarks, Nine West, Aldo and Zara. Its has to depend on the design you choose and whether its suitable for your feet to determine if they are really comfortable for you. These few brands do have nice designs and good qualities shoes. If you are willing to splurge, try Christian Louboutin, Miu Miu and YSL for their platform heels.

Are naturalizer, nine west shoes genuine leather?

I used to believe whatever shoes marked as leather are made of real leather. Only recently I bought a pair of naturalizer flats, and a pair f nine west bootie, and found the texture of both shoes appear to be synthetic materials. Why? There is absolutely no stretch to the "leather"; they are not breathable; no "pores" on the surface; no leather small; the other side of "leather" feels rubbery. When I looked at inside of the shoes, both says "Leather upper manmade balance". However, even the upper does not appear to be real leather. I wonder what is your experience? For me, it is a gross fraud for these two big shoe brands to mark something synthetic as "leather".

Your uppers are leather...however they are what is known in our trade as corrected grain leather uppers ...in other words ...high quality.top grain leather is split and the unfinished leather beneath it is embosed removing the "pores" as you call it / grain.. Making the leather firmer and easier to work with during the production shoe making process .... The rubbery feel on the inside/other side you are refering is more than likely a synthetic lining ....however not all naturalizers and nine west ladies shoes have liners in them.. Aside from the toe puffs and heel counter liners..... Lesser quality and lower priced corrected grain leather is used by some shoe manufacturers to reduce material costs and improve profits while consumers like yourself end up buying lower quality shoes at premium prices ..........I hope I was able to help .....have a nice day ....
