where can i get free games?

Ive been looking for more games to play because im broke. I found free games like GTA, GTA2, Wild metal country, Command and conquer. does anyone know of a major video game label that offers free pc games like this? ill post the links to the sites below so you know what i'm talking about. I'm looking for games that can be downloaded directly to my computer and played without an internet connection. Preferably mac, but pc would be ok too.
