Ruth asks…
How do the snowboard boots sizing work?
I wear size 6.5 in womens shoe, but my boots are size 7 (in mens im assuming)... I am looking at buying womens boots online and want to make sure the boot is the right size... Does anyone know the size conversion?? Thanks!

Our pick of the answers:
Snowboarding boot fit needs to be perfect, if your heel lifts up its worthless. And even if you get the size right its quite possible you will experience heel lift with some boots. Also these boots are so rigid, and need to be so tight, that finding a comfortable one is tough even in a store. You HAVE to go to a store to try them on. Once you have done that and found the boot you want you can then find it online if you want to save money. If somebody does give you the size conversions make sure wherever you order it from has a good return policy, you will need it. Another benefit of buying in a store is many boots have soles that should be heat molded to your foot, and the stores have the proper equipment for this.

Nancy asks…
What would be a good snowboard size for me?
Ok so,if you read my last question i was asking about snowboarding.Well i have finally convinced my mom to buy me one,but it must be used. The only thing is i dont know what size i need.Im 5' 7,117 pounds and my shoe size is a womens 8.5 - 9.

Our pick of the answers:
Need something around a 145-147, something a little bit smaller or bigger will work, but something in that range would give you the best performance. All boards ride different, but that's a good size base to start off.
