How would you wear this skater dress?

I'm not that fashion savvy, so if it were more i'd probably just wear it with pumps and i'm not sure what I would wear jacket/top wise if it got cold.. Has anyone got any advice? What shoes would be best as well as jacket, also the colours! Thanks!!
