Carol asks…
Can you help me find a basketball shoe that suits me?
It seems like every time I play, I get blisters on my feet- more specifically on my big toe. I've also noticed that after playing, my sock is soaked in sweat which obviously makes the skin on my foot more prone to blisters and whatnot. I guess I need to find a shoe that is well vented? And are there any other tips as to not get blisters? Currently, I have like a blister under a blister under a blister. It is not fun haha
Our pick of the answers:
If you're looking for something under $100, look at some Adidas shoes, like the Ghost. They'll take some break in time, but should ventilate nicely. If price isn't an issue, look at the Nike Kobe 8, as it is engineered mesh (really breathable) and the Lunarlon insole won't irritate your foot. Also, the Nike Hyperdunk 2012 is a good option if you want a higher cut shoe and will probably be on sale at any outlets/factory stores around you. As for blisters in your current shoes, bite the bullet and grab some elite socks or team speed crew socks.

How do you live with $10 until you get a job?
Economy is bad you know, and I wonder when will ever get a job after being layoff? Sigh....I guess instant noodles will get me by. Instant noodles anyone......I am sharing.
Our pick of the answers:
Begin by locating your nearest large grocery store, hopefully within walking distance. Next, slap on your shoes and start your journey to the market. If your chosen store is beyond walking distance you will need to spend $1.25 to ride the bus, thus leaving you with $9.75 to take care of your needs. This is still enough funds to make your plan work. Once you have arrived at the grocery store locate the pastas/noodle isle. Your first purchase will be $3.00 worth of ramen noodles. At $0.15 per package you should be able to obtain 20. Several flavor choices are available, and its your call which flavor or combinations of flavors you side with. Now make your way to the bread isle. Here you will find cheap packages of tortillas to make wraps or burritos with. It should cost about $2.00 to get a pack of 10. Your next and final purchase will be in the canned foods isle. There are many choices of cheap ready to heat cans of beans to put in your tortillas. I recommend 2 cans of $0.99 refried beans, its easy to heat up and spread onto your tortillas. With sales tax and your bus fare included, the total cost should fall just a few cents short of $10. All you can do now is make your way home and start rationing your grub 2 packages of ramen noodles together counts as one full serving. Keep your ears open for any friends or family near you that may accidentally announce they are preparing a large dinner, and invite yourself to such events.
