Wives, how do you dress your husband for work?

Today at court I saw three MARRIED attorneys stroll in wearing old faded khakis, wrinkled button ups and way ugly ties with their crappy looking sketchers on and messanger bags slung over their shoulders. It makes me pine for the days of crisp looking Brooks Brothers suits and shined up shoes on men walking around carrying leather briefcases. What is the world coming to? Is this just a failure on the part of wives of our generation?

Title of scary kids book? Had three different stories in it; Old man with evil shoes, ghost, and evil shadow.?

Hi, I'm trying desperately to remember the name of a book that I used to check out from the library when I was a kid (early-mid 90's). It was an easy-reader level book, but I don't know the publisher.It was a book of three different scary short-stories, and the picture on the front was up a creepy old man sitting on a throne of bones. The first story in the book features a boy that sucks at basketball; a creepy old man is sitting by the court and offers him shoes. He takes them, and wins, but after the game, the shoes won't come off, and develop a mind of their own. They make the boy walk to the old man's house. Once there, he discovers the old man has been using the shoes to bring kids to his house, and has been eating the kids. The boy escapes, and the old man is eaten by his dog and cat. The second story finds a girl moving into a new house. She finds out a ghost lives in her room, and he tries to scare her, but he can't. She takes him out for a day on the town, but he runs away screaming because of the noise from a boom box that a guy is carrying. We find out that the ghost can be scared,too. In the third and last story, a boy is at a carnival, and it's getting late, so he has to go home, and he hasn't won any prizes. The lady at the booth he's at says that if he can spell her name backwards, she'll give him another throw. He asks her name, and she says that it's Lil. He laughs and says that it's spelled the same backwards and forwards. Lil become offended, and she says something bad will happen to the boy. He starts walking home, and his shadow suddenly comes to life, and takes the form of the boy, and the boy becomes the shadow. He is forced to live as his own shadow. However, the boy manages to scream out the letters L-I-L , and he is returned to normal. I think the title of this book ha some generic scary words in it, like "bone", "spine" "tingle" etc, but I do not remember the title or the publisher, and would really like to find the book. Any info is appreciated, thanks!

This is a on going series called the black lagoon. The few books titles are The teacher for the black lagoon, The Nurse from the black lagoon, and The Gym Teacher from the black lagoon. There are tons of these books; I grew up reading this =)
