Our pick of the answers:
"Heels over head" is an inappropriate term generally used when describing promiscuous women, but can also apply to a gay male. It was adapted from the term "Head over Heels". Save ya some time asking what promiscuous means if you don't know: http://www.google.com/search?&q=define%3Apromiscuous&btnG=Search "Head over Heels" For clarity actually means falling uncontrollably...He was falling head over heels down the stairs. It is more commonly used referring to someone falling in love with another person too quickly, or blindly. When using it referring to love it originally was used talking about a past relationship. "I was head over heels in love with her. But one day she left me for our high school's football star." In similarity to falling down stairs, there are a few "bumps and bruises" gained on the way down, but the sudden stop at the end is what really hurts. ZOMG generally means "Oh My God" but there are other meanings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZOMG LMAO Means "Laughing my butt off" (insert equivalent curse word in place of butt)
Maria asks…
Why do people say 'Head Over Heels' in love?
In the sentence, I know a girl who is head over heels in love with you. If you're standing up, isn't your head always over your heels? even if you're sitting down your head is higher than your heels, although not directly 'over'. Where does this expression come from and why do people use it? I spend most of my day being 'head over heels'
Our pick of the answers:
Etymology Emerged in the 14th century as "heels over head", which is more literally accurate, as "head over heels" is the more standard state of being. "Heels over head" evolved into "head over heels" in common use departing its literal meaning, probably for reasons of phrasal elegance. Tumbling upside down. He was head over heels in love with the girl next door. Synonyms (tumbling): arse over tit, ass over teakettle, base over apex (frantically): full tilt, full throttle, like mad http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/head_over_heels Completely, thoroughly, as in They fell head over heels in love.
