Donna asks…
Should I get Bailey button triplet or classic tall uggs?
Both would be in chestnut color. I'm on the short side and my mom thinks the bailey buttons look bad on short people and the straight, simple lines on classic tall are better but, i still like the bailey button triplets better. What's your opinion?
Our pick of the answers:
First rule of fashion: Always buy the "classic" of everything and if you want to trend it up, you can do that with accessories. This goes for all clothing, handbags, shoes, boots..everything. NEVER waste money on something that is too trendy to stay in style. Always go for the 'classic' and trendify your look with accessories. The button style is cute but will be considered passe and you're left with UGGs that look dated. Classic UGGs don't go out of style = classic = timeless. Get the classic and start shopping for cute boot warmers to accessorize your boots. Laura asks…
what are all the layers of victorian womens clothing?
im starting a research paper but dont know all the layers and it would be a huge help! THANKS! Victorian Era women's clothing**
Our pick of the answers:
Corset (do some research. The idea that corsets were severely harmful to women's organs is a myth promoted by women at the time who wanted to stop wearing them because they were uncomfortable. They actually help to promote good posture, and when worn correctly, shouldn't hurt.), bloomers or drawers, made of cotton. A chemise, which is kinda like a cotton tank top, and either covers the corset or goes under it depending on the era, several petticoats and bustles depending on the time period, (the victorian era lasted awhile, and fashions changed a bit.) thigh high stockings, silk if she could afford it, and ribbon/ garters or suspender belts depending on the time period. A dress, and shoes. Boots were essential for everyday wear so that slightly shorter skirts for walking around in didn't show one's scandalous ankles. Silk slippers similar to ballet flats for evening. Some of them had heels, but more low, chunky ones, not stilettos. If a woman wanted to leave the house, she also needed gloves and a hat at all times, and a wrap or coat if it was cold. Parasols were also essential because women were supposed to be very pale. Some women wore make-up, but they rarely talked about it and tried to make it look like they wore none at all, unless they were on the stage or prostitutes, or other scandalous women.
