Your Questions About Shoes For Women With Flat Feet

Jenny asks…

Are flats (the women's shoe) really that unattractive? (Guys and girls)?

I overheard a conversation a few guys were having and they said that flats were, for the most part, not very attractive on women and heels or sandals were much more visually appealing. Some even went on to say that flats were ugly. Is this true? Do guys think that flats are unattractive? I'd understand if the woman had very big feet, but for a woman with smaller feet is it considered alright? I ask because I wear flats quite often (size 6.5 feet) because I work with a bunch of asians and I'm 5'4.... XD But anyways, would heels be more attractive, even if they make you taller?

Our pick of the answers:

Some people think they look great and others don't. I think they make a person look shorter and makes their calves and feet look fat. That's just my opinion so if you like flats then you should keep wearing them.

Susan asks…

Pass what foot size is not for flats (shoes)?

I think that people with small feet like a woman size 8 and down.......they're feet look better in flats. I wear size 9, 8.5. I think flats look big on my feet. Is it all in my mind. Would flats look funny on my feet

Our pick of the answers:

I think it is more a matter of what style flats than whether or not you can wear flats at all. My daughter wears size 9.5- you want to be careful about the long pointy toe flats as they tend to lengthen your already long feet. She looks really cute in rounded toe ballet flats - the rounded toe will often make your foot look smaller than it is . Your feet are actually average so you could go both ways if you did not go to the extreme in either direction (pointy or rounded) If your feet are wide, that is a whole other issue and I would lean towards the longer shoe to make your feet appear slimmer- just make sure you do not wear a shoe that is to slender or too short for your foot- it may seem cute now but when you are 35 and having to get surgery to remove bunions you will regret it.- experience.
