Your Questions About Court Shoes For Women

Ruth asks…

where can i buy shoes for small feet in glasgow?

My shoe size is a size 2 and im struggling to buy shoes, preferably with a heel, that are not designed for kids any ideas where i can get them in glasgow or surrounding areas.

Our pick of the answers:

All I can find is this website. Http://www.small-shoes.co.uk/ Here's where you can get the petite sizes of ladies shoes the High Street shops don't seem to sell any more - Quality, stylish small shoes, mostly Italian and Spanish, for sale here, to women with small feet in the UK and Europe ! We bring you the small sizes of women's footwear that you want - UK 1 to 4, or continental 32 to 36, including half sizes - in this season's stylish courts, high strappy sandals, toe-posts, mules, high heels, kitten heels, flatties - and boots! We keep finding new styles for you, so you will find women's small shoes for all occasions - for work, party, wedding, shopping, casual, beach - whatever! We promise we'll never "send you to the children's section". You already know that shops have given up on women's small shoes (sizes 1 to 3) - it's not worth their while to stock them. Manufacturers don't want to make small shoes for women because shops won't stock them. So where can you get shoes to fit you? Right here, of course! Small-shoes.co.uk has exactly what it says - all the small shoes you are searching for (or if we haven't got what you want today, we may have it soon !) NEW! Now we have insoles, heel grips and shoe polishes, too!

Linda asks…

How do I make my Tennis Shoes stop squeaking?

I have a pair of Nike Air women's running shoes which have started to squeak in the toe area of the shoe. I don't have any removable insoles or anyway to take the shoe apart, is there some way I can fix the squeak still?

Our pick of the answers:

Not really. However, I recommend you get some actual tennis shoes. Running shoes have very little lateral stability, so you will have nothing supporting your ankles when you shuffle from side to side. It it really easy twist your ankle in running shoes, and depending on how fast you move, it could be a serious injury. Tennis shoes are also designed to come to stop and change direction more easily. They almost always have a tred pattern called a "herring bone" pattern which is designed to perform on court. Tennis shoes will increase your safety and ease your movement, and becasue they're meant for the court, they will probably squeak less too.
