Are European shoe sizes the same for men and women?

I wear a size 41 shoe in Europe--these are women's shoes. If I want to buy a pair of men's shoes, do I also buy size 41? Or is it like the US where an women's 8 and a men's 8 are different sizes?

I'm obsessed with wingtips and other "guy" shoes. I'm looking for shoes that a Wallstreet type would wear. I am not looking for construction boots or work boots. Thanks. I'm a woman's size 7
