Jenny asks…
Can you stand up straight in these high(!) heels shoes for at least 2 hours (pic included)?
My gf bought some very high heels yesterday, she's planning to wear these at an upcoming wedding but I doubt if she can wear them for the whole day. They are almost 5 inch high, I must say they look good on her but they look torturous. Now she's breaking them in at home, standing in them as long as she can but she already says that she feels pain in the balls of her feet after only 1 hour of wear... http://img219.imageshack.us/my.php?image=naamloosczu.jpg http://img219.imageshack.us/my.php?image=naamloos2d.jpg Are there girls here that can handle these shoes without struggle? Maybe some tips?
Our pick of the answers:
Gel pads in the front of the shoe help. You can get them for about $10.00 It has a lot to do with how she balances herself.
Laura asks…
Did anyone else notice the the WWE heels, are (kayfabe) revolting againts the "powers that be"?
R-Truth, Christian, and CM Punk (for sure after tonight) have recently been pointing out the flaws in WWE and straight-up saying, that Cena is only popular for his "family image". They also point out that the business is headed by "less talented" people, who where "born with silver spoons in their mouths", or by "kissing Vince's @ss". Is this why most true wrestling fans prefer the "heel" characters in WWE, considering they do tend to break down the 4th wall (some only slightly, but CM Punk for sure after Monday Night)? R-Truth is one strange cookie now, but his word hold alot of truth (no pun intended). R- Truth: Speaks about the little Jimmy's (kids) holding him in the mid-card, so they can see Cena with the Title more often. Christian: Says, "Randy Orton was born into this business with a silver spoon in his mouth, and has had everything handed to him, while he (Christian) was forced to scratch and claw his way to the top". CM Punk: ......I dont even know where to start with him. He pretty much said it all... I wont even go into it. .....My point is, the Heels in WWE are (KAYFABE) getting to the point where they are starting to criticize management itself for their unfair positions in the company. I know its a part of the script, but its hard to not notice... Do you think its pure coincidence, or will there be a revolt from these superstars when they continue to be held back? Its too strange that WWE would acknowledge that some (more talented) superstars are being held back, without it leading somewhere right? BQ: What would you think if, Chavo's quiting was all kayfabe (Im about 95% sure it wasnt though), and the superstars who are getting tired of WWE pushing "undeserving pretty boys", start a stable to revolt against the WWE powers that be, and all their overrated main eventers.... Maybe some kinda.... New World Order for WWE. (Jk, but you see what I mean). XD Hey "Dugger" what do you think KAYFABE means? You illiterate retard! Am I the only person who knows what "Kayfabe" means? Honestly... and read the whole question befor you answer, it about "The direction of the heel characters" not "Wrestlers leaving the company".
Our pick of the answers:
I COULD just be a dick and point out that TNA has been doing this very thing for a year and a half (since Hogan and Bischoff took over running the TV shows) and the WWE is just copying them. But just whining that company A is copying company B IS being a dick, so I won't do that. Show of hands...how many think the WWE has been boring, stale, and repetitive for the past couple of years? I really don't need a hand-count; the endless and constant complaints are proof enough. Fans ARE tired of Cena. Fans ARE tired of Orton. Fans ARE tired of the same old sh*t every week, week after week. Fans are just tired of the WWE formula for producing TV shows. We, the IWC, aren't the only ones complaining. The dead crowds the WWE draws so often are a prime indication that the WWE is just boring. So, Vince is "giving us what we want" (or what we SAY we want) by pushing mid-carders and having them voice OUR complaints. Make no mistake, nothing goes on the air without Vince, and Vince alone, okaying it. He got the IWC all stirred up and watching the WWE by having Cole play the typical blind WWE fanboy who bashes everything not the WWE; he got "Daniel Bryan" over that way. The Nexus group was that "revolt" stable you refer to, but they were unknowns and didn't really get over. So Vince is putting some guys we do know in the "revolt" roles, like Truth and Punk. We're all watching and nodding emphatically, agreeing with everything they say on TV. But heels criticizing management is common throughout the wrestling world and throughout wrestling history, except for in the WWE. Vince's happy little fantasy world is stale and boring and the fans want something else. So Vince "invented" heels criticizing management as a way to create "controversy" and to get fans to keep watching to see Punk, Truth, Christian, somebody else "whatever will he say NEXT?" Most "true wrestling fans" prefer heels in the WWE because they are so over-the-top they are like comic book villains hatching nefarious schemes, not wrestlers who cheat and take short-cuts. Some of us "true wrestling fans" find them to be just ridiculous caricatures of real wrestling heels. But in any case, the wrestling matches have been watered- and dumbed-down to pretty much every match being just a few minutes of punching and kicking (heels AND faces), so the focus HAS to be on what the characters do outside the ring. WWE faces are, for the most part, boring and overshadowed by the over-the-top comic book villains who get to do all the "cool stuff". That's what Vince focuses on and pushes (with the exception of Cena; you gotta have a "hero" character for all those "cool heels" to battle). BQ: You mean kinda what Fourtune has been doing in TNA? That would be cool. I love it when the overly-inflated egos of the big stars get taken down by younger hungrier performers who WANT it more. The big stars tend to get lazy and complacent in the ring, relying on just promos and their "star power" to keep them over, while the younger guys are killing themselves in the ring trying to break out. The WWE tried that with Nexus but those guys were brand-new to us (except for Danielson), hadn't "paid any dues" (that we knew of), and didn't "deserve" to get pushed. Another try with some established stars like Truth and Punk should prove to be more successful.
