Laura asks…
How can I wear high heels without them killing my feet?
Hi all, sorry about asking what may be a silly question, but is there any way that wearing killer heels - with or without platform soles - can be a bit more comfortable? I love heels, but I can only wear them for a couple of hours before they make the balls of my feet feel like they're on fire! It seems some women can wear them all day with no problem, so is there a trick to it or do they just 'suffer in silence'? Any suggestions welcome, as I love heels and only being 5ft 3 tall, I'd really like to be able to wear them!

Insoles are the answer! I had the same problem with a pair of strappy shoes, and foot petals worked wonders. If it's a pump, Dr. Scholls gel insoles should offer you more comfort and a better fit. Petals for the balls of your feet: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/foot-petals-… Back of your heel: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/foot-petals-… Edit: Or if you don't want to buy anything, you simply have to break them in. Wear them around your house with a thick pair of socks (no one's going to see you). Do everything in them (except sleeping and bathing). This will help your feet get used to wearing heels. If they hurt too badly, take them off until the next day and try to wear them even longer than you did the day before. This is what I do. Now, I can usually wear 4 inch heels no problem. However, high heels aren't going to be comfortable. These are just tips to increase your endurance. Don't wear them every day either. Hope I helped!

Betty asks…
Hey ladies. Ever walk out of your platform pumps?
I was trying on pumps with a half-inch platform and as I walked, my heel pulled out of the shoe. I tried a smaller size but that was no help. I finally realized that the shoe does not flex like heels without a platform, so the heel stays on the floor and does not rise up with the heel of my foot. I have worn sandal plats with a sling back and this happened but I did not notice it.

Your looking at pumps tells me that you are finally out of your cast. I ran into the same problem and it had nothing to do with size. Look at the plat in the link and notice how the plat curves upward and is not as thick at the toe end. This allows the shoe rise with your foot as you walk. I have a pair very similar and hate to take them off.
