Our pick of the answers:

I don't believe they're worth $175. Plus, you'd be limited as to what you could wear with them and get away with it. I wouldn't get them.

Donna asks…

What kind of shoes should I get for working out?

I've started to exercise a whole lot more and do lots of high-impact exercises. I don't really run that often (I mostly jog) but I'd like to get into running in addition to other activities I already do (DDR, lunges, jumping jacks, jump rope, squats, working with weights). From what research I've done, there are some shoes that are good for strength training and others specifically for running. I need a pair of shoes that will efficiently absorb shock so that my joints won't take a beating (my current shoes aren't doing the job) but I can also maybe run or jog in them if I want to. What type of shoe would be good for that? I know a little bit about cross-training shoes but the majority of shoe stores sell running shoes, so it's hard to tell what to buy. My main concern is the shock absorbing, but it would be nice if I could find a shoe that could do that and be good for running as well. Also, I would love for suggestions of specific brands or even shoes from those brands. I'm going to Kohl's in a few days and they're currently having a sale on athletic shoes, so any recommendations from the link below would be greatly appreciated. http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/saleevents/0609bb/shoes/bb31athleticshoesforwomenmen_/womens.jsp?ENDECA_SEARCH_INPUT%3C%3ENe=&ENDECA_SEARCH_INPUT%3C%3ENo=0&ENDECA_SEARCH_INPUT%3C%3ENs=p_Product_Total_Inventory|1&ENDECA_SEARCH_INPUT%3C%3ENtt=&ENDECA_SEARCH_INPUT%3C%3Erecs=40&ENDECA_SEARCH_INPUT%3C%3EN=4294691144&ENDECA_SEARCH_INPUT%3C%3Etype=2&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374757281964&bmForm=guided_nav_search&bmFormID=1307754525162&bmUID=1307754525162 Thanks!

Our pick of the answers:

I do some aerobics (high and intermediate impact), strength training, and jogging and I wear good quality running shoes (not racing shoes, but ones for people who run for pleasure/sport or training)...something with plenty of cushion and support, to help protect my back and legs...I also try to stay off the concrete (sidewalk) when I do go jogging, because it's much harder on the body than running on asphalt (or something more springy)... Look up running shoe reviews or see the source link for some info I found useful...you could also look up cross training shoe reviews if you feel that would be more suitable...
