Your Questions About Ladies Shoes With Red Bottoms

Lisa asks…

Will a red clutch bag go with my midnight blue satin dress?

Please help ladies!!! I had a baby four months ago and with all honestly it was a year before I got pregnant I last went out!! I'm am going on the 20th with some friends from school and have got my outfit all ready. I have this lovely midnight blue satin dress. It does up like a shirt at the top and it has a 80 style bottom. I'm wearing a nice pair of leggings underneath it and some nice shoes. I do have a black bag. But I was wondering would a nice bright/dark red clutch bag go with. I think it will look nice but my taste when it comes to clothes can be a bit like my hearing!!!

Our pick of the answers:

Definitely and to tie it in, go with red nails and lipstick

Laura asks…

Dress, Hair and Shoes! Oh My!?

I'm clueless about all of this wedding planning jazz, so you ladies need to help me. The wedding date is 11/01/09. I'm going to have my dress custom made here's of picture of the style I want (it's the red one on the left, but i'll have it made in antique white) http://www.gownella.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/50sgowns1.jpg I want to have the beads from my great grandmothers wedding dress embroidered at the bottom. How much time in advance should I start working with a seamstress? I've never had my hair styled before, so do I go into any salon and show them a picture of what I want that day, or do I go in advance and talk with someone about it? is there a consulation fee involved? I want the dita von teese vintage finger waves, and I'm just wondering if thats something every hair dresser should know how to do? and lastly I have no friggin idea what kind of shoes to wear. I can't deal with really high heels, but any suggestions are welcome!

Our pick of the answers:

First of all, that dress is completely adorable. 1. For the custom embroidery on your dress, start as soon as possible. I cannot emphasize that enough. Even basic wedding gowns take months to make and get fitted. Give yourself as much time as possible so you can be sure it's ready in time for the wedding. 2. Call a few local hair places in the area where you're getting married. Let them know that you need an appointment for your wedding day. Most salons have a bridal package that includes the wedding day appointment AND a trial run a few weeks before. Choose the salon that has the most convenient time for you or the best price. Describe the style on the phone so that they can schedule the right stylist to help you. Then take in the photo the day of your trial run. 3. If you don't want to wear heels, wear a simple antique white or neutral metallic flat or slipper. Many brides wear these because they are so much more comfortable.
