What type if ice hockey skates should I buy?

I ice skate every weekend by I only use ice hockey skates. I wear size 8 womens shoes, size 6 in men's. I need to know what brand of skates would be good?

Are Vans supposed to be smaller than your normal sizing?

I'm usually a size 5 in womens shoes and then I try on some vans and I need to go two sizes smaller to a size 3 . is this normal ? is it because I have a narrow foot ? can someone please help !

Did you try on the mens style in vans, if so yes the mens style (which have the thicker band around the bottom) are two sizes bigger the womens style usually fits true to size though, i'm not sure
