Fowler's highly anticipated spring 2007 line promises to showcase more ground breaking innovation. Using only the latest in high tech fabrics and silhouettes, her designs in the approaching season will bring an even greater emphasis on cross training sports in conjunction with yoga.
Ranging from Fowler's ultra hip skull and crossbones sports bras to her low-waisted fleece pants that have the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts gushing, YAS Wear is geared towards to an all sports mentality without all the fuss. "I have people who don't come to YAS, but just come in to buy YAS Wear because they've seen it on one of my members," explains Fowler. "People go crazy for anything with 'YAS' on it."
Boasting a color palate of exclusively green, gray, black, and white that makes color coordination as easy as Paris Hilton as well as the most flattering of silhouettes, YAS Wear is undoubtedly the stuff athletic dreams are made of. "That way everything goes with each other. You don't have to think about it. Who wants to spend time thinking about what to wear?" exclaims Fowler.
Taking her vision for a healthy lifestyle from the yoga mat to the worldwide web in November, Fowler launched her new Ecommerce site that already has hearts pumping with each and every click of the mouse.
This online wonderland of spandex, instructional DVDs, and everything fitness in between exposes a legion of prospective YAS Wear enthusiasts, which extends beyond the Abbot Kinney studio cult-following five years in the making, to Fowler's design approach: "It's not just a line, it's a lifestyle."
Fowler's new website allows surfers to print catalogs directly from the website and to fill their virtual shopping carts with the most understated and functional in active sportswear. The E-commerce site launch comes after a wave of cheers from the yoga community for her latest ad campaign emblazoned with the saying, "I'm not your guru…you are" and showcasing the ever-taut and toned Fowler clad in YAS Wear from head to toe. "I'm the black sheep of the yoga community so it was nice to get so many positive emails saying, 'You go girl!' and from men asking for the ad as a poster," reflects Fowler. "It's very flattering considering that I'm 48 years old!"
Having triumphed over the obstacles of alcoholic parents, impoverished beginnings, freaks accidents, and a nearly fatal case of cancer, Fowler is now fulfilling her promise of yoga with "no chanting, no granola, and no Sanskrit," as well as catering to the athletically inclined, in a market seriously lacking in functional and body-conscious female athletic apparel. And all the while, YAS fans wait with baited breath for all the new spandex goodness that the YAS Wear spring collection has to offer.
