Have you heard the word called "BABY BOOMER", well that's what developed in the post world war 2 era. You had soldiers coming home to wives with a great economy and basically no wars around the world for America to become involved with. Women had worked in factories and had skills which helped the womens movements. Black teens got more jobs becuause most white teens had been drafted into the army. Additionally the formation of the term "suburb" came into place because soldiers coming home had regualar pay but were also able to take jobs as factory workers, police, etc. The war was the most pivotal point in 20th century American economics. It brought America out of a depression in 1929 many will stress Roosevelt's New Deal Plan but also remeber World War 2 made Americans cut back on certain items which improved the economy ten fold. Fashion during the war was simple becuase most citizens used army bonds for soldiers because the goverment stressed patriotism. Music resembled the military tone of the country which was about the heroics of the men in certain operations/batlles and the liberation of Europe from the tyranny of Nazi rule. Jobs were in abundance to everyone with most of the men off to war women had to take up the position of provider for the family which at the time had never been seen in American society. Rations affected what you could buy but most Americans felt that to defeat Nazis they would be able to endure it. The civil rights movement gained a little strength also because with blacks in higher levels of work they asked the government why they were fighting racism in Germany but not back in the states which was true and led to the 1963 march on washington but thats another story. Again life was hard for all involved with the war effort becuase it was not comfortable not being able to buy panties if you are a women or a training bra because these items were needed to make parachutes for airborne units. Shoes were turned into army boots and any scrap metal found was quickly wisked away to factories to be made into weapons such as the famous Browning Automatic Rifle or even the M1 Garand and Carbine. Thats just a little bit of it again i hope that helps man.

Any idea where to get patent lace-up stiletto shoes?
I forget the name of the style - they lace up on top of the foot and it's kinda like a boot, but it's below the ankle.
