Ruth asks…
What businesses will benefit the most if you are planning on using a calendar for advertising?
I am planning on using a calendar to help advertise some businesses for next year. These businesses will be seasonal or generally have big promos going on the same month of every year. These businesses will benefit from the calendar while sharing the cost of advertising. Will you please help me find which type of businesses will benefit the most? Thank you. January ? February - Valentine's Day gift shops, florists, day spas March - lawn season lawn services, landscaping April - Easter, spring pictures children's shops, photography May - Mother's Day gift shops, florists, day spas June - Father's Day, summer break gift shops, things for kids to do (skating, swimming, etc.) July ? August ? September ? October - winter is coming a/c & heating contractors November - clearing inventory for new model sale car dealers December - tax credit in our area furniture stores
Our pick of the answers:
January usually has stocktake sales where retailers clear out xmas stock July- i think there is an american custom of thanksgiving in july but u will have to check it out. Some people do it in australia but its not a big thing here. August and Semptember im not sure about December would be the biggest month and i see u did not include Christmas in your advertising. I would be using that occasion to search for businesses wanting to get in on your project. Its the biggest money making month of the year in terms of revenue for businesses and retailers. People buying presents and stuff. Another idea would be for the businesses to put in a full page of deal, where coupons could be torn off the page. Things like 10% of shoes, or 15% of womens clothing. But that woul be up to the business if they would want to offer that.

Girls ladies what promotion would you prefer?
I work at a womens shoe store. We are going to have a sale would you prefer a 20% off sale or a sale where you popped a balloon to find a percent off from 10% - 30%? what is your age? thanks p.s. I have asked this question in other areas so if you allready have seen it sorry
Our pick of the answers:
I am a bit worried about what the customer would do if they popped the balloon and it came up as 10%, would they suddenly decide they didn't want the shoes and come back later to try again? I would rather go with the straight 20% off, then I know where I am. You could always say that random pairs would be 50% off, eg the 50th pair sold that day or something.
