Your Questions About Heels Without Heel

Donna asks…

How far can I reasonably walk in high heeled leather shoes?

They're leather Hush Puppies with 2 inch Louis heels. I can walk for miles in heels without a problem but shoes get so beaten up in this weather with all the slush and road salt. How much can I wear shoes outside for before they start getting really beaten up? My wardrobe consists pretty much entirely of dresses from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, so athletic shoes are out of the question

Our pick of the answers:

Well if you have toy walk on slush and road salt ..then it depends on how quality your shoes are, Some can last days ..and some can last a couple of hours. But i would recommend that if you really wanna wear heels for you to get some slippers or flats...and then when you get to destination to wear your heels..

Linda asks…

How much time must you walk in heels before it stops hurting so much?

I don't mean breaking in the heels, I mean how long does it take before you can walk in heels without getting blisters the size of Miami?

Our pick of the answers:

It's all a matter of wearing your feet in, not the shoes! Your feet need to be used to wearing shoes that are uncomfortable so develop tougher skin (I don't mean hard skin, I just mean less sensitive). This is a long, hard road, especially if you don't wear heels that often. Try wearing the shoes around the house with plasters (band-aids) over the areas you'll get blisters then wean yourself off them over time. Good luck!
