What is the size difference between men and women's shoe sizes?

I want to buy a pair of boots from eBay but they're men's shoes. I already know my shoe size (I can usually wear a 10 if it's not too narrow but most times I get an 11 to be safe), but I don't know what my size would be in men's. Can someone tell me? Thank you in advance for any help.

Mens sizes are bigger, generally wider because a womans foot is more narrower. So I wear a 9 in womens, which is a 7 in mens, so maybe you could fit a 8 or 8.5

Can someone please tell me where I can find size 11 shoes for an 11 year old girl?

My younger sister is only 11 years old but she wears a size 11 in woman's shoes. Every time we go shopping we either find her size but the shoe is to mature for an 11 year old or we find a shoe but it doesn't come in her size. Does anyone know a web site where I can go to find a nice shoe, not sneaker, in a size 11 that is suitable for a young girl. Please help, it's almost time for her start school.
